A candle lit in remembrance of those who lost their lives to the Pulse shooting in Orlando.
I don't typically make post like these, but this is very close to me, and I know that I have followers who are probably needing some reassurance in light of the date. I want you all to know that you are not alone and that you are loved.
Just two years ago, we were celebrating the legalization of same-sex marriage across the U.S. Then, one year later, we mourn the 49 beautiful lives that were lost to the tragedy. It is things like this that remind us that we are not promised a single day on this earth and that we must make with the time we have.
To all my LGBTQIA+ followers, please know that you are loved. Even when it feels like the world hate us, please know that you are loved.
Raise a glass to freedom, something that they can never take away. No matter what they tell you.

... Normally, this is the part where I go to the comments and make a relatively snarky remark about wanting to see more stories, or just generally sharing opinions, but not this time. My brother was at a concert 2 buildings over from the shootings. Although I don't know anyone personally effected by the cause of the terror attacks, the effects of it do deeply resonate with my family. So, to those who were like me during this occurrence, I say I can truly feel your pain, and that this event shan't be forgotten so easily.
