CNN's moral standards on display · 7:15am Jul 5th, 2017
Wow, Its just unraveling so fast for these guys.
So after a reddit user created a funny gif and posted it on the internet and Trump retweeted it CNN decided that said gif was offensive to them and loudly and repeatedly decried it, claiming that it promoted violence against journalists while ignoring the hundreds of times that journalists and celebrities have actively said that the world would be better off if Trump were assassinated.
But they didn't stop there. They tracked down the person who made the Gif ( a fifteen year old kid who is still in highschool and living with his parents BTW) and threatened to expose his identity publicly if he didn't apologize for making the gif, which he did.
Which is funny because that sounds a lot like something called black mail. Which I believe under Americas Criminal Code is an offense that can be punished with jail time.

I am ecstatic that CNN is imploding. It's great. First Kathy, now this.
My guess is that they're starting to stress over their slowly diminishing profits. They aren't the media superpower they once were, and the executives are feeling the pressure. Freaking out over everything Trump does gets them exposure and clicks, and that is keeping them afloat.
I feel like this is a fitting end to the old guard of mainstream media and its portrayal of "news." We can only hope that their eventual replacement has a slightly higher regard for truth, what actually matters, and removing bias from reporting when and where possible.

Im just so so tired of having the media trot out the words 'racist, homophobic and mysognist' at the drop of a hat to win every argument they get into.
There are big issues at work in todays world but were not DEBATING them because honest debate is not valued anymore, instead its character assasination 24/7 and if I dont agree with someones stance on whether a bakery can be forced to make a cake for a gay couple this makes me into a literal Nazi white supremacist I guess, regardless of the fact that I am myself bisexual and extremely in favor of protecting IMPORTANT rights for trans people.
