Clarification of last blog, and a cool thing · 9:54am Jul 5th, 2017

July 3 was indeed my 30 birthday, as some of you guessed from the in hindsight rather disjointed blog I found funny after 8 hours of hard labor in glaring sunlight followed by a cake induced sugar-high. :applejackconfused:

Wouldn't normally clarify something that petty and personal, but the irony that my use of apparently out-dated gamer slang flew way over the heads of my on average much younger audience when making a tongue-in-cheek joke about how I'm not quite sure how to feel about reaching such a (to me) large number...

Well, it gave me a morbid little chuckle, and I'd like to think I've got enough humility to be seen publicly wiping pie of my face, so I thought I'd share. :raritydespair: :rainbowlaugh:

Speaking off Death and for the sake of some actual content, I recently found out this exists...

'Don't fear the reaper.' Sir Terry Pratchett's personal, official coat of arms.

Man, imagine being one of the few, tiny specks of a speck of fantasy authors that get noticed enough to get a 'Sir' in front of your name by the Queen of England her freaking self. Your name recorded in the halls. A mark on history, a prestige that will most likely live on for as long as there is an England to remember you and your deeds...

And you make your arms what's basically a morbid in-joke slash visual pun about your books and failing health.

To steal (and Butcher , even :pinkiehappy:) a line from one of my other all-time favorite authors: Say what else you want of the man, but he had balls that dragged the ground when he walked.

...Don't think I added my two cents when he passed, actually. It just hurt too much, and I couldn't find the words back then.

He'll be missed. RIP, Sir Terry.

You're 30?

I thought you was younger than I.

Huh.

A belated happy level-up, remember Morituri Nolumus Mori, and enjoy.

Yeah, Sir Pterry was one of a kind.

Yeah, Sir Pterry was one of a kind.

Wouldn't go that far.

Still, I'd put down a million-billion dollars versus a jar of toenail-clippings that once he's been dead for long enough that his stuff gets that 'ye olde English' patina on it the snobs are going to eat it right up with their gilded spoons.

Well, because there used to be another writer who made silly entertainment for the masses with a ton of innuendo and puns, as well as all sorts of magical stuff in them. In his time, near nobody gave a crap...

Now we call him The Bard.

But a once in several life-times talent? Yeah, definitely, I'd go that far.

Oddly, I get that a lot. Not sure why. :unsuresweetie:

Guess I just give off a youthful vibe, or something? Worse problems to have for sure, but it's a bit strange.

Still, thanks! :pinkiehappy:

He waited, and waited, and waited for ‘just the right time’ to release a sequel to Good Omens.

I don’t think the world was ready for whatever it was that him and Neil had planned. :fluttershyouch:

If any ever could make a plot as silly sounding as 'Apocalypse 2: Things Get Even More Thoroughly Buggered' work, it would have been those two. Darn shame. :pinkiesad2:

SIr Terry Pratchett was a one in several million author, but i can't miss him as much as i should since i found a utterly brilliant fanfic author who does a incredible good job imitating Pterry's style and has greatly expanded upon what was created in a way that makes perfect sense.

...Well, that's what I'd call a ringing endorsement if I ever heard one. Link?

Ninety stories most of them Discworld and most of them have more than one chapter.
His fics introduced me to the wonderful Scandinavia and the world Web Comic as well as the hilarious Gerald the Gorilla scetch.
