As part of this year's Month of Macabre, ThelifeonCloud9 has released an audio production of my story All Nightmare Long. (Trivia time: Cloud9 got her start in fandom audio productions four years ago, with a bit part in Scribbler's production of another story of mind, Holder's Boulder.)
Over the years, several fandom YouTubers have created audio productions of stories from the Horse Voice bibliography. These are now very numerous, and so for the convenience of listeners, I have compiled them here.
Many thanks to those who liked my stories enough to create these great renditions.
This message is very, very late by the standards of the Internet. But my conscience won't let me rest until I say how I feel.
A week ago, news broke that former fan-author Jetfire2012 had taken leave of his sanity and picked a fight with an entire crowd... with predictable and well-deserved results.
Here in Canada, tomorrow is Thanksgiving Day. And so for myself and other Canadian bronies, the timing of Pony's finale, almost to the day, is quite fitting.
But really, who needs a red-letter day for thankfulness? This event may be bittersweet, but we can all be thankful for the good times, for the lessons that help us, for our creations, and for each other.
Surprise, everyone! One of my fans, Tyler Hinton, managed to find me at BronyCon 2019 and ask for an in-person interview. The result: About six minutes of me spilling my guts, interspersed with ten minutes of "um's." Luckily, Tyler edited the boring parts out, so my long, rambling answers don't drag on too much.
Would you believe I'm a latecomer regarding Blind Guardian? And at this point, adding a new patch means removing one or two old ones, so it's a dilemma. (But maybe under the right arm...?)
4600958 Easy to believe. Honestly, I think I lucked into Hammerfall and Nightwish. Those three and Freedom Call were basically the first four power metal bands I encountered (and I'm not a huge fan of Freedom Call, especially compared to the others)—but my taste has moved toward the more symphonic stuff like Within Temptation and Lacuna Coil since then.
...no, wait. I take it back. First power metal band I encountered was X Japan. Actually, that explains a hell of a lot.
ETA: Also, nah, you have awesome patches already. And I know from having a patch vest of my own that the things are a bitch to fold/pack, and that gets harder the more you try to cram into the tiny bits of remaining empty space.
It seems we both got into Metal through its third wave of bands, who wear their dragon shirts with pride. I'll have to check out a few of those you mention, though it may hurt my pocketbook later. The funny thing is, the Nightwish patch has been a better conversation-starter than any of the others... specifically at Pony conventions. There seems to be a huge crossover between fans of both those things, which makes a funny sort of sense, I guess.
But let me guess: Years ago, when a "Crystal Empire" was introduced to the show, you had the same reaction I did: "What, like the Freedom Call album?"
Silver, really, but it looks blue because I couldn't get the lighting right. I don't remember why I picked silver over yellow, but presumably it made sense at the time.
The sad part is, Descendant is one of those writers I always meant to check out, but even if I do now, there's no point in leaving feedback, since he's vanished into thin air.
As if you were ever hard to find at BronyCAN, Horse Voice. It's a little funny that we've barely exchanged a few words at the con in the past; I'll have to fix that mistake this year. Gotta make this last year of the convention count!
My Bad Fanfic Bingo panel was approved, so that should be interesting... (So much editing, so little time!)
Edit: dang it, I too misread which convention you were talking about. Reading comprehension, what's that? Are you planning on making it to BronyCAN this year?
Unfortunately, due to issues with my job, it looks like I'll probably have to miss it. Damn shame, since that panel sounds like so much damn fun. But I know my two associates will be there, so I'll ask them to tell me all about it.
. . . I think I speak for everyone involved when I say, 'Buck yeah!'
Devil horns optional.
Horse Voice confirmed for taste in music.
Rock on, brother
So it'll be impossible to tell you apart from Jake the Army Guy is what you're saying.
After seeing Hammerfall and Nightwish, I'm a little disappointed there isn't a Blind Guardian patch.
So...another "Where's Waldo?" thing?
>Rush
not even once
Okay then.
4600869
This
4600869
Oh, that will be easy; I'm the good-looking one.

4600897
... You mean you don't like Rush? I am shocked and appalled!
4600891
... Yeah. But maybe I'll be easier to find if I hang around in Quills & Sofas a lot.
4600852
4600867
Damn straight! \m/ \m/
In all seriousness, I freaking loved your coat when you rocked it at Everfree and I still do.
I DON'T WANT TO SHARE IT WITH ANYBODY ELSE

Eeyup.
IT'S THE AWESOME JACKET!!!
Don't ask how the stains got there.
But:
The yellow submarine on the back is blue...
Mike
Man, is that an Official The Descendant Fan Club patch on the left shoulder?
4601095
Silver, really, but it looks blue because I couldn't get the lighting right. I don't remember why I picked silver over yellow, but presumably it made sense at the time.

Oh boy
You're saying I get to meet Horse Voice at Trotcon!?
4601305
Oh, don't I wish. From the reports, it sounds like a blast.
4601320
Oh hell. I definitely misread that. FeelsBadMan.
Canadian Coast Guard Lighthouse Keeper patch? Which coast?
4601356
West.

Well that does indeed suck. Have a great time at BronyCon!
Got it! I'll look for the Yellow Submarine — definitely should make you easy to pick out of a crowd.

We'll see who can spot who first. This will be an historic meeting.
