I will admit this update is coming far later than it should have. Its honestly been sometime since I've thought about my time writing on this site and the people I'd met. So without further adieu lets get into why I disappeared.
So I should start this off by saying I know longer consider myself a brony and its not because I started to dislike the show or the fandom, but my desire to watch the show and keep up with everything had begun to fade. Eventually snuffing out all together. It started pretty much right after season 5 ended and was over before season 6. Because of this working on a story about ponies became increasingly difficult. Originally I had planned to just drudge along a finish for the sake of the readers, but you see how that ended up.
Looking back I now understand what it was that diminished my interest. Originally the show provided me with something, which to this day I still cant place a finger on, that made my life feel like less of a struggle and more of a joy. I took a lot of comfort in this show and the fandom and I look back on it happily. I'm glad I was able to experience everything this show and its fans had given. I thank all of you for that. But whatever it was I was lacking at the time. I no longer needed. It occurred to me that the hole this show had filled was no longer there and I was ready to move on taking the experiences with me. Fast forward to now. I'm doing a lot better in life and I am fervently chasing my dreams. I'm sorry to those who enjoyed my story. I can't tell you how much I appreciate your readership. And to those friends who helped me become a better writer and create the story, I thank you as well. I hope everyone's lives are hurdling towards a promising future.
And for those who need some closure I am going to post how I originally intended for the story to go. Now I'm not going to say this is exactly how the story would've gone because things tend to change while you write, I know this story definitely did. But I will tell you how I had envisioned it. Its been some years since I've thought about this story in detail so Im sorry but some of the details are muddled
The story would have continued on from Z'ecoras house as the friends discuss the discovery of pinkies secret. Discord would have later showed up with his ass beat. While hes healing he would have told the story of the Eris he knew and his reacting to seeing her as a pink joyful pony thousands of years later. His story would continue after he had become friends with the ponies, involving secret meetings with pinkie to learn about how she'd ended up where she was as well as her teaching discord many valuable lessons about friendship which led him to take being friends with everyone more seriously and to cherish it.
The backstory of Eris in the tale would be vague at this point and much would still be left to learn about the mysterious friend that turned her around. The gang with the help of discord would go to Eris' personal chaos dimension which I kind of pictured like a world shaped around the persons memories and personality. They would discover that her world was actually shaped around her memories of when she crashed back into Equestria. Walking through the town would reveal Eris and what seemed to be another pinkie being friends getting up to a lot of shenanigans. They eventually find Eris, who at this point has almost been taken over by chaos revealing her original form, and after a quick reunion Eris tells them the story by letting them see it through her eyes. This story would reveal that upon landing in Equestria badly hurt, Eris was cared back to health by a pink happy pony named Pinkie. Soon after reluctance on Eris' part they became good friends. The story would follow snippets of a seemingly entire life together.
There is a split here where I wondered if I should make the two a couple or simply strongly imply that there may have been feelings. Anyway after being with Pinkie all the way through her last breath Eris was extremely touched by the past so many years and seeing the way that Pinkie had changed so many lives as she had changed Eris'. So Eris took Pinkies form and requested that Princess Celestia allow her to live as a pony. Which she did for 800 hundred years constantly moving over the course and taking on different back stories so that she could touch so many. Eventually taking her to Ponyville. Afterwards Celestia and Luna show up. Some arguing about what to do ensues, Celestia agrees to let them try to use the elements of magic. But the seal breaks. And a big final fight involving Discord, Celestia, Luna, and surprisingly Bastion gets some while the mane 6 attempt to seal the power for good. They succeed by basically slamming her with their raw love for which is what Twilight believes allowed the seal to last as long as it did originally with Pinkie. And Happy Ending.
I hope that provides some closure for people, or maybe it just angered you I never wrote it. Or maybe even you're glad I didn't write it cause you wouldn't have liked that story. In any case I wish you all the best as I bid you Farewell.
