No, no, no. That's fine. I don't care. (I care immensely.) · 5:01am Aug 29th, 2017
My friend's car broke down recently. His girlfriend called me and woke me up.
"Guh... Huh..?"
"Hi. Can I get a ride to work tonight?"
"Uuuuuhh... Ugh. Okay. You go in in a couple hours, that should give me enough sleep to work with."
"Okay. Thank you."
"You're welcome. See you then."
"See you."
True to my word, I set an alarm for two hours later and dragged myself out of bed when it went off. Which was not easy for me, as I take a while to properly regain consciousness when I wake up. She knew this already.
I drive out to their house, mostly asleep. Get there. Pull myself up the stairs to their apartment. Knock on the door. My friend answers.
"She ready to go?"
He looks hesitant and confused.
"She left a while ago. Got a ride with someone else."
HHHHHHHHHHHRRRRRRRRRRRRRRFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF
lol
Did she at least call and leave a message or something? Maybe you slept through it.
