    Strike, fade, run

“Striking, fading and running. Each of these are three well used moves, my Lady.” Twilight spoke. “Most importantly, running.”

“Why would I run?” Rarity huffed, still bent over slightly and catching her breath.

    April, with many a day…

So I just spent from the third through today (sort of, still have some driving to do) on holiday. Went to Dallas to see the Eclipse in totality, swung though Hot Springs for… well, the hot springs, and finally St Louis for a lovely riverboat dinner before bidding the Boyfriend farewell and starting the trip home.

    Well, I started it...

All Good Things... has commenced. I may have a chapter of it up tonight.

I really want to start closing out the unfinished stories, but sometimes you just can't get back into the flow for them. Sorceress and the Siren is one, Into the Wilds is another. Which is sad cause I love writing Azure.

    Homecoming, in retrospect.

Homecoming as a series is a glorious mess. I’ve gone on short bits of fluff, created some … unique ships, twisted the fabric of canon EqG, and even touched on some dark topics.

    Don't you just hate it...

When you can't find something when you need to?

Case in point, I went looking for a comment where they alluded to It being like Frodo saving the Shire for everyone but himself and had to sail to another land to find solace.

But I can't remember what fic or anything else.

    And it's frustrating to me.

    Meanwhile, in other news...

Well, in a relatively short time I will find out how my contest entries fared.

Don't really care if I win, just want to see objectively where I fall in comparison.

So, Updates:

Very soon you will be seeing a weekly ( hopefully) Update posting as I start going through my stories and fix continuity errors (which are real continuity errors and not plot hooks for later) and updating the content to make it better.

For example, very soon I'll be tweaking every chapter in Homecoming slightly, fixing grammatical errors and checking for plot holes. Chapters may get longer as I extend scenes like the funeral and her dream farewell. I for one plan on using the idea given to me by BenRG about Sunset realizing that she had been yelling at Nightmare Moon. I can no longer resist the temptation.

Continuity fixes will be for all the stories, but only the first few will go under the revisionist knife. I might add a chapter or two here or there if I feel it is warranted...Homecoming may just get one between chapter nine and ten, and maybe ten and eleven. Looking back as a wiser writer, I now agree with some comments that the romance came on too quickly. There at the least needs to be a scene of mourning and bouts of grief through more of that particular story. I will be pulling in some proofreaders as well. You all know who you are, very likely.

Also, based on certain things - and this picture - I'll be starting the Pinkie/Aria couples fic soon, tentatively titled On the Inside, but it will be more a flash back story as they move into their first shared quarters. I'll explore the where and why of their getting together, the story of Aria's new haircut, why Maud and Marble took to Aria so quickly, meeting the parents, and some more interpersonal dynamics touched on in Ballade. Keep an eye out! :pinkiehappy:

This is one long blog....and still not done!

There are dark times in store for Insurgence-cast members. By the end, three characters will have died, one will be flung back in time, and the fundamental magic of the worlds will be altered.

Now, a final light hearted question: should I address the fact that Sunset's aura mysteriously changed colors canonically in my stories? I can come up with a reason for it to do so, but shoukd I is the question.

Ohh, well, lots of stuff to look forward to! Also I gotta hurry and read the latest chapter of Insurgence...

And also submit my own entry for the Sunset Shipping contest! :pinkiegasp: I've been delaying it cause I've been waiting on some last-minute feedback, but I don't think it's gonna come in time for me to do anything about it.
