MLP Movie 2017 (may have some SPOILERS) · 12:16am Oct 8th, 2017
There maybe some spoilers here so if you haven't seen it, don't read. Going to try and not add any but just in case I added the warning.
I saw the movie this afternoon and I have to say, I liked it and would get it when it comes out on DVD. The world building, new characters and new villains were good. The visuals were incredible and the music was really good. The songs were not fillers and moved the story along nicely. They could have done somethings things better, like give more screen time for the Storm King, but seriously thats just a knit pick. Some people will try and compare the movie with the last one back in the 80's. Two completely different movies that have nothing in common so there is nothing to compare. For an outsiders perspective, it will be seen as OK. After all it is a kids movie and not everyone is going to like it. That being said there are some really dark undertones to the movie like slavery and death, something you don't see a lot of in kids shows/movies anymore. True they only appear at the end and the death scene is of one character, but its still there.
Overall, its a good movie and one the whole family can enjoy, no matter the age, and I hope others will go out and see it. Don't listen to critics and judge for yourself if you think the movie is bad or not.
