Still haven't seen the pony movie.
Heck, still haven't seen a good number of episodes from the latest season.
I am not very good at ponies.
BUT.
Despite starting a new job, and despite the siren's call of my shiny SNES classic (and I haven't even touched the likes of Earthbound yet) I managed to crank out another chapter of Octavia's Eleven. This was one of the harder chapters I had to write, simply because I had some vague ideas about what I wanted to happen, but I wasn't entirely certain how to get there. Still, I think it came together fairly well (which is to say, things went terribly for ol' Flashy), and I've got a pretty solid idea of how I want to wrap things up next chapter, so stay tuned!
Still, it's kind of funny, as I know how to write Twilight, and I know how to write Flash, but writing Flash writing Twilight (with footnoted commentary from Twilight herself) makes things a little more convoluted. But hey, I can't get enough of that sweet, sweet metatext, so there ya go. For the whole ... twelve of you reading Octavia's Eleven, at least. Labor of love, and all that!
So yeah. Just thought I'd check in for a bit. Probably will go see the pony movie in a couple days-- I just need to find out when my friend wants to go see it with me so I don't get put on a list for being 'that one creepy guy by himself at the back of the theater.' Ehehm. But still, I have to wonder a couple of things. Like ... is there any sweet, sweet Rarijack innuendo in there? (Shipping goggles may be needed for this). Or, perhaps more importantly, does Flash Sentry make a cameo at all?
Because, y'know, I may hammer out another installment of The Flash Sentry Papers eventually-- though I already used the 'Flash and Carrot Top work behind the scenes of a big invasion' plot already. HMM. But I'm sure I'll think of something.
Well, that, or I'll just start writing something original that people might actually pay money to read. That's fun too. :)
Carrot Top was visible in a few background shots toward the beginning, but I don't remember Flash making any cameos in the movie. Take that with a grain of salt; I've only seen it twice so far.

Flash did not actually make an appearance, unfortunately. Neither did sweet, sweet Rarijack. (I ship all the ponies indiscriminately, I don't have a favourite ship). 'Twas a great film, anyway. And, as to not be the one teenage boy in the back, I went online.
And about not watching the show, man, I really just don't like the season 5 onwards. No particular reason, just put off. Still love Wall teh fanfics!!11!1!!" though
I had a great idea earlier today but can't think of it now. Expect an update at 4 am.
Honestly, the most Appleshipping in my eyes was with Dash, and that was in the opening minutes. The word "love" was used, though in reference to cider.
As for behind-the-scenes work... Well, it'll certainly bei nteresting to see what you can make from the raw material.
There's not much Rarijack, but it's there in the first scene.
The Flash Sentry Papers are the best and I hope we get more meta comments in the future. Hell, if you feel like it you could edit the previous ones to add that extra sauce (*wink*nudge).
