Or Halloween, whatever.
Have I ever mentioned how much I think dismembered people look cool in fiction?
It's nothing I ever would wish upon another living being mind you (except possibly myself, but I don't go down that mental road due to how impulsive of a human being I am~) but many of the fictional characters I've made up outside of MLP are things like:
A child gets the whole lower half and upper left side of her body burnt to a fine crisp. It's so bad there's a hole in her cheek showing her teeth, the skin is like a thin charred wrapping paper, and her left eye is missing. Isn't really super hung up about it. Likes to play golf.
A young lady wanders into a haunted house and is murdered by a demonic puppeteer and her soul is put into a killer clown doll. Has to kill her own remote controlled body and arrest the puppeteer. Proceeds to paint beautiful imagery all over her doll body and still gets along fine with family. Becomes professional babysitter, children love her.
An immortal man is casually committing genocide on everything. Humans, animals, plant life, you name it. Little girl keeps coming back from the dead as a ghoul to haunt and murder him, constantly trolls her for fun. This one is my favorite because the girl has no eyes and is Jojo levels of muscular. It's like if Castlevania got KAWAII DANKY DESCAH DOOOO- but then went undead and very un-kawaii but forgot that it was still a little girl.
One time my brother sent me a picture of a girl with a pretty square jaw, and said "She has jaws up to her jojos." That phrase still tickles me.
I really need to pick up drawing, it'd be so much fun if I'd just put in the effort to get good.
A reoccurring theme I noticed I show favor towards is that I love people being in horrible life situations, but are super fluffy and nonchalant about it. Makes me surprised I don't like Katawa Shoujo more. Lilly best girl. Deadpool's pretty fun.
I'll be honest, it's the hole in the legs, I love changelings for the holes in their legs, and wings, all that jazz.
In Magic the Gathering, there is a card called Chaos Imps. It belongs to my favorite theme to play, Rakdos! Sadomasochists who live for carnality in it's finest. Sadly, murdering everything doesn't pay the bills, so they're professional entertainers and chefs on the side to make Money Money Money- So Chaos Imps, I bring them up because they look like Fire Changelings. I love fire, and changelings. So of course I made a deck with four of those puppies in them.
Look at them. Look at the fire changeling skeletons. Aren't they adorable? You could also say they're like zombie batponies.
You would think I'd be a big fan of horror movies, but not really. It's less that they're horror movies and more that I just don't like watching movies, unless I've already seen that movie, isn't that strange? I love the Princess Bride because I've seen it like 40 times. Halloween? It was painful. Watching Halloween a second time? It was great! Just can't stomach watching new movies until I stomached watching a new movie.
Life's kinda like that sometimes.
So, on Thursday, I went to a doctor appointment, collapsed in bed a bit past the afternoon, and woke up Friday. I just can never get enough sleep lately, I feel physically and mentally dead no matter what I do. I've been forcing myself to try out and at least commit for a while all sorts of different hobbies and trade skills just to keep myself in motion, but I can't help but feel super slow all the time.
I had a whole week to myself to write, and I was planning on doing like three chapters of different things all for Halloween to kickstart myself back into writing, and instead I slept. Shame on me. Maybe I can sneak out a Home is for the Weak chapter near the end of the day. If nothing else I force myself to write the beginning of the next Changeling Doll chapter, keep it, and accept it'll never live up to my standards of what I want for it.
Life's also kinda like that sometimes.
I keep hearing about all these conventions. One day, before this fandom dies out, I really would love to attend one and meet some of my authors here to get their autograph and gush over them a little bit~!
I need to meet Majin and Aragon, because both of them sound super duper fun to talk to in person for at least 10 minutes. I'd like to share a drink with the barcast once (my alcohol tolerance is super bad though.) Justice3442 is also quickly becoming one of my favorite authors, I dunno if he attends any cons though.
I just wanna meet everyone and shake hands and say 'Hi!!!' and ask how their life has been and crack a joke here and there and surprise bear hug lift them off the ground and maybe get like a Scootaloo doll I dunno.
Just gotta keep my eyes towards and the sky and nose to the grindstone!
And make sure I don't look like I'm snorting crack.
Well... Let's work on those dreams coming true, shall we?
