One Year Ends, Another Begins!

We're near the end of 2017, which was a very good year for me! However, not a very productive year when it comes to posting content here. Full-time university and running/playing in two tabletop games (both of which require a degree of writing and creative energy from me every week) sapped my time for penning pony material. That's not to say I'm not writing; I try to complete a few pages every week. However, I have many projects demanding my attention, a bit too many because of my own ambitions and writing wanderlust keeping me from focusing them down.

Next year, I intend to finish what I've started so far. I also have thought about trying to write a few "compilations" of sorts. I have small stories bumping around in my head or that I've written that don't really work as their own full-on entries, but they might when coupled together as one-offs or parts of an anthology. They also prove useful as "writing kick-starters" to get something on paper and the ideas flowing. I've noticed a few such compilations from other authors trying the same sort of concept, so perhaps that'll be neat if I can get enough entries penned to populate it. Such an anthology would be wildly varied in content or theme, and not be upheld to the same standard of consistency that I have for my usual material. I think of such entries as more "raw" and unprocessed stories, usually without a wider context. They'd also be more inclined to feature OCs; either my own, those of friends, or those created for narrative's sake.

Right now, my main projects are a cute Starlight shipfic I got inspired for, that TF story I mentioned in the last blog, scribbling a few entries for that anthology idea, and brainstorming for An Equal Burden's third chapter (the second chapter is already pretty far along). I don't really have a definite timetable for anything being finished, save for the second chapter of An Equal Burden, which will likely come up either late February or very early March.
