Yep, that's right! I'm making today (and the week) my 'blast from the past' days. I'm going to read a whole bunch of fics that I've read BEFORE I've joined this is site, and there is quite a lot of them. So for the week I'm going to be inactive, as in no daily riddles for a while. But I'll give you the answers to the last one.
Riddle Ten Answer: He was fired for sleeping on the job!
Riddle Eleven Answer: Pick the door with the electric chair. Remember, the power is out?
Riddle Twelve Answer: Card 1: ace of spades
Card 2: queen of diamonds
Card 3: 10 of clubs
Card 4: king of hearts
Card 5: jack of clubs
You know that the clubs are both separated by one card. That means the clubs are either cards 1 and 3, 2 and 4, or 3 and 5. If the clubs were cards 2 and 4, there would be no room for the ace because no two similar colored cards can be next to each other. Your second guess tells you that the clubs are cards 3 and 5. If, on your second guess, card 1 was correct, that would mean that card 3 would have to be correct, only that it isn't. If card 2 was correct, that means the clubs would be next to each other on cards 4 and 5, which is not correct. Therefore card 3 is correct, and the two clubs are on cards 3 and 5.
The heart is not card 2 (we already know that is wrong), so the heart is between the two clubs on card 4, and the diamond is on card 2. By the process of elimination, card 1 is a spade.
Since we know the queen is a diamond, card 2 is the queen of diamonds. Neither the king or jack can be next to the queen, so the queen is between an ace and a 10. There is one question: is the ace on card 1 or card 3? You guessed that card 3 is an ace on your first guess, and you were incorrect. Card 1 is the ace of spades. Card 3, therefore, is the 10 of clubs. The 10 cannot be next to a jack, so card 4 is a king, that is, the king of hearts. By the process of elimination, the last card, card 5, is the jack of clubs.
