Happy New Year - Future Plans · 12:48am Jan 1st, 2018
Firstly, I hope everyone had a fantastic Christmas and is looking forward to the beginning of a new year. I myself have been busy working over Christmas, thus giving me little time to work on the story in December, amongst some other issues.
A new chapter for Dying Embers will be released within the week and numerous plans are being developed in order to allow me to attempt and publish the story more frequently during my house move and change in job roles. Dying Embers IS NOT DYING. I am going to continue this story until it comes to the end of its life, even then, I have plans to continue the story in the form of a new sequel should it receive support from you guys and numerous readers.
On top of Dying Embers, a set of spin-offs has been planned to either begin as I continue the main story or following the end of the story to act as filler as I prepare the sequel. Dying Embers already has an unofficial spin-off in the form of What Am I? An introduction to the Character of Slicer Jen, written by none other than Slicer Jen. Although it is not official and cannon to the story, it does make for an interesting read and a number of elements have been incorporated into Dying Embers, such as the Ridge Cats.
The Main Spin-off I am planning would follow Captain Gabrielle, introduced in Chapter 39/45. This story would follow her role during the Civil War which was a major theme during the early stages of the story, providing a different viewpoint of the conflict. This would likely consist of a maximum of 20 chapters, showing the war from her perspective.
A second Spin-off is planned but I will not reveal it as of yet. This is due it being a massive spoiler to a section of future chapters. As guessed by a few readers, the story will link slightly with a certain finale as a particular character got a hold of a certain spell thanks to John. This 'episode' will take place over a few chapters showing a series of events. These events will be explained further in a spin-off if those few chapters prove to be popular/successful. The Spin-off would explore the scenario in more detail, providing the history of events from numerous perspectives.
Other than that, I have been asked to try my hand at potentially writing an entirely new fic, similar to that of a crime thriller. This idea had particularly interested me, as it would allow me to add a dark and realistic setting based on real events and jobs which have taken place during my work as a police officer, adding a sense of realism and an insight into how police work is carried out. The story would likely take place in a reality where humanity and Equestria are able to access one another's worlds, allowing them to work and live in each other's society. Since Humanity is full of cruel bastards, crime would spike in Equestria and they would request aid in combating this. A Police Service consisting of ponies and humans would be formed to tackle rising crime. The main story would follow a human and pony officer crewed together as they deal with a series of jobs as they try to combat a growing crime ring. I had juggled the idea in the past, but this has proven to be a reoccurring spark as it finds a way to continuously creep up on me.
Let me know if these spin-offs and the concept of the new story interest you guys, I would love to hear your views on these.
Thank you all for your continued support. I will provide future updates to the Q&A I mentioned previously, in the future.
Have a safe New Years!
I would love to read anything you write. You're an amazing author and I'm sure I'd enjoy any words you show me.
Also, happy new year!!!

Seconded, bro.
Anyhow, any spin-offs that you have planned and any sequels you write, you're sure to have a dedicated following from me and many of your other readers.
Can't wait to see the other story you have planned with the alternate Equestria. I'll be sure to give that one a go and maybe make a logo for it (Whenever I'm available again lol...).
Have a happy new year you Pony Bobby
Happy New Year to You To!
Would love to read a crossover buddy cop story. You could call it "Bobby Noir", or "Trot Fuzz".
Whatever it is, it will be good.

It would probably end up with a lot of Hot Fuzz references
And before you ask, no, I have never fired my gun up into the air and gone 'argh'.

I think the crime drama sounds good in particular, and the hinted-at spin off also sounds cool, but I personally would want these to begin once you finished Dying Embers, I'm just being selfish though haha
If you do write the crime drama, you need to include 'No luck catching them killers then?', just saying...
Happy new year!
