Hey everybody I'm back from my extended hiatus! You might be wondering if I completed any new chapters for Alola! To A New World in all the time I spent away from my fic.
I didn't.
The chapter I'm working on still has a long way to go, and I don't have a solid idea of when it will be ready to post. I have all of the events in the chapter outlined, but I am still in the process of editing and polishing it up, and even after I finish that I still need to get in touch with Maika for the collaborative portion of the chapter. I can give no excuse for why I haven't finished all of this yet, and I am hoping along with all of you (however many of you are left) that it will be finished soon.
And now, to distract form that, how about we talk about
this...thing?
I have been working on this cover art since October of last year, and l am kind of proud of what I managed to do. It's a bit of a mess, but then again so is the fanfiction I drew it for. I might reupload the picture just because I feel iffy about the lighting in this one, but until then this is what I've got.
So if my line-work is too wobbly for you to tell, the cover is of Paige hippogriff, Rafe Hippocampus, and Gon Riolu surrounded by shadowy figures of minor characters that seem to stare at the one closest to them, except for the Four Tapus, who are hiding in their closed shells, and Milotic, who swims in the background behind Paige and Rafe, one of her dangly head-fins outlines the picture credits. In the background is a silhouette of Hawhinny, and written on it is the A!TANW's title.
I wanted to draw what I imagined these characters to look like for awhile, as it might be a bit difficult to imagine what their appearances might be from the descriptions I gave them in the fic. And yes, Paige has no cutie mark, that's just how it is sometimes.
I made it a point to mostly frame the three protags with characters I haven't introduced yet, though there are a couple of them that have already been active contributors to the plot for awhile now. But as for the ones that I haven't introduced, I hope you'll find that I've at least hinted at them in the past. I'd be super stoked if anyone wants to guess who they are, what they'll do, or where I hinted at them, so please please please leave a comment on this post.
As usual, I'll take any criticism anyone would like to give, for the cover art and my life's choices.

Hey Tapu. Just leaving this here to say a few things. Namely:1. I like the cover art. It’s really nice looking.
2. I’ve been putting off this collection of stories for a long time hoping people come back to them.
3. I don’t think many of them are.
4. I’ve decided I don’t care, and am going to read them anyway which means that
5. As one of the newest and most likely to continue (you at least put a blog post about how you’re still active if not actively writing) that your story sadly falls below the ones that probably aren’t in my reading order.
THAT SAID: I’m still going to get to it when I can. I’m on a big binge with these stories (a lot of Pokemon/mlp, actually. I finally got around to buying Moon and it’s sparked my interest in this crossover) but they’re collectively a million+ words. So hold on for me, I’m making my way to you.
