Dose anyone else think that making Twilight a earth pony is a very bad idea? I can't see G5 Twilight as Twilight. Because Twilight has always been a unicorn ,later turned Alicorn and had her special talent is magic, but as a Erath pony........ she can't cast spells..........#cutie markmakenosense. Do you think Hasbro is making a bad move and should rethink what their doing with gen 5. Or fail (gen5 2020 to 2020 ...... ) Gen 6 coming soon *as soon as they see what they did wrong*

No idea ,but I think the gen 5 leaks maybe fake. So who knows what'll happen. Though the thought of de-winging and horning, followed be rewriting existence still scares me.
From what I've seen, the gen 5 designs are drastic alterations and ditch the old style. I could stand that. But getting rid of Twilight's horn? That's just plain wrong. And I'd also hate to say it, but gen 5 seems a bit unnecessary.
My theory is that they're going to take the idea that ponies achieve the Alicorn state, and apply it to unicorns and pegasi. Maybe all ponies are born earth ponies. If you either learn many spells, or create new magic then you can become a unicorn. If you perform an act of bravery, then you can become a pegasus.
Twilight will do both and achieve neither. She'l feet inadequate for a bit, but eventually she'll find that her destiny is to be an Alicorn again.

Still not happy, hope leaks be fake. It's too much change in the wrong direction. Either make a new group of ponies to be the main six, which mean no reusing names or color pallets. Their names and cutie marks don't make sense. Fluttershy can't be Fluttershy if she can't flutter with no wings, pinkie pie have her color palette changed and renamed surprise. Rainbow dash is the least changed and Applejack is not urbane.to be honest be using any bit of the old cast the way that it seems to be now, seems like a bad idea. Personally I think either have a brand new cast the lead or keep them closer to their Gen 4 forms. I'm worried that many people won't like this big of a change the way it looks to be going, and that it may end prematurely. I honestly believe that some of these lease where previous concepts that they were trying to rework and are not the final work.

G4 introduces Fluttershy before we find out that pegasi are the closest thing ponies have to a soldier class. Judging from Rainbow Dash, who you say is the least changed, maybe they want to rev up that soldier class idea. If that's the case, then it's a shame that they are changing Fluttershy, because they could've further explored the idea of her being a unique pegasus.
As for pinkie, she was originally going to be Surprise anyway. Surprise was a G1 pony. Lauren Faust copy pasted a bunch of G1 personalities, due to a weird mix of rights issues and just trying to get complimenting and contrasting colour palettes in the main six. Btw, in G1 or G3 it's Rainbow Dash who says Darling all the time. Freaky, isn't it.

A black voice actress is fine. You can have any race of VA and still do the same character, it's called acting.
The only way I feel concerned is if someone in hasbro is enough of a nitwit to think it's not a stereotype or caricature as long as you get a black women to do it. But that's a stretch, and even then, what are we worred about, rap numbers? Actually those would be pretty awful.

my concerns are mostly due to, bad reboots that I have encountered, I have no quarrel with more diversity in voice cast. My concerns are the overall changes they appear to be making and how it seems like they're going a bit far how to change is, and although it could be good. I honestly think that these leaks 4 Gen 5 might not be real or more accurately not the final product. They may honestly be caught just Concepts did they may or may not use, to be honest we won't know what Gen 5 is until he either comes out or it is announced that is not coming out and it was nothing more than a rumor. To be honest I would rather have a Time skip continuation of the Friendship is Magic series it is more of a soft reboot than a full-on reboot. I still want to run to another Teen Titans Go or or new Ben 10 because those reboots kind of hurt me because I enjoy the series and if you like those of these new ones were making fun of them. I just hope the gen-5 if it is to be will be just as wonderful as Gen 4 and not end up a generation 3.5 or bbcuties Horror Show, sorry if I came off a bit jaded or harsh. It's just my nerves acting up.
I've honestly just seen too many reboots that have gone wrong and to be honest I hope my fears about Gen 5 or wrong I hope it's just as good as Gen 4 if not better but I've had so many too many shows of my childhood like, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Ben 10 Titans and a few others I can't think about the moment, not to mention a few game franchises that I'm not happy with the reboots and or sequels. But I got my hooves crossed and I'm hoping the future of this show is bright.
Hey, you know that Ashleigh Ball is the voice actress for both Applejack and Rainbow Dash. So what's going on? Are they paying two actresses to do the job of one? Is RD being re-voiced too?

I know Ashleigh Ball is the voice actor for rainbow dash and Applejack, so yes they're paying someone did you two voices. From what I hear from the from the unconfirm to real leaks everybody might be replaced voice acting wise. But as many have stated , these leaks may not be real. From what I hear they were uploaded to I believe it was 4chan by user called big hackintosh, who leaked the supposed materials for Gen 5, the people like this more often than not end up wrong. This is usually due to the studio who is making the TV series changing their mind on a to release series, and changing the new series up canceling it or most likely nothing but that they might go with and add could be one of several ideas they have on the server that was hacked into.
