Alright, it’s 3 a.m. and I can’t sleep because I found out... well... I found out something that deserves another thank you post to everyone who has read, tracked, or liked Just a Little Batty. What is it I found out? Well... Uhh... I don’t really know how to say this, and I really hope this doesn’t come across as bragging, because I really don’t feel I’ve earned it, and I really don’t know how it happened, but... uh... Just a Little Batty kinda... sorta... umm... hit the number seven slot for top rated stories of all time? I mean, it probably isn’t impressive as it sounds. I’m pretty sure it’s only barely in there because of the like-dislike ratio, and a single extra dislike would push it out, but it’s still technically in there, so I want to thank everyone who made that happen.
Hmm... Let's test that theory. *hits dislike button* SCIENCE!
Just kidding, of course. Seriously, it's a great story and you earned this.

I was in bed on portable devices at the time. I literally found out at like 2 in the morning when I noticed I had a comment about it on the story.

If it was an Android device, then you can usually get a screenshot by holding the power button and the volume-down button at the same time for a second or two.
I've noticed that I tend to get interested in stories based on their premise, then tend to lose interest in them once they move beyond that. Maybe I'm easily distracted, or maybe it's just that taking a premise to an internally consistent and satisfying conclusion is really freaking hard. I dunno, it's not like I've ever tried it myself.
You, well... never actually did that second part. This doesn't mean the story's simple or anything. The difference, I guess, is that rather than writing towards a predetermined goal, you're letting the story grow organically. I'm just sitting here watching you add facets to the original setup and letting the characters do what the characters do. I dunno about anyone else, but that's good enough for a like from me.
(Though, 122nd place out of literally everything on the site is still good.)
