    BUGHORSE NEWS

Yes, I bring good news of Chrysalis story. I have finished the first draft of the next chapter and the editing team has already made a first pass on it. There's still a lot to do to polish it, but I'm hopeful that I can have it up and ready for your hungry eyes in one week. Keep a lookout!

    Life is Snow

No really, this isn't some vague metaphor. My life is literally snow right now. I'm drowning, send help.

    New year, new chapter

Hope everyone is having a great New Year's Eve (or if you're in a part of the world where it's already 2022, hope the new year's been treating you well so far). Good news: the next chapter of Paint the Sky is written, we just need to take it through a few rounds of edits and revisions before I'm ready to post it. It will probably go live at the usual time on Wednesday.

The future of the Berylverse · 8:22pm Jan 28th, 2018

I know that many of you follow me for my Rooster Teeth related crossovers, but I haven't forgotten those of you who follow me for my involvement in the collaborative "Berylverse" project between myself, Shinzakura, and BlueBastard. Because it's been a while since any of us really sat down and went over the plans for the series beyond it's current latest instalment, Seven Days in Sunny June: Time of Reckoning, we all thought we would go over what's to come in a way that doesn't involve cryptic foreshadowing.

First of all, I will say that yes, Time of Reckoning will be the end of 7DSJ. But that in no way means that we are finished telling the story of the Berylverse itself. We have already planned literal years worth of content, with some very cool and unique things that I'm not sure has ever successfully been attempted on the horizon.

To help put things in perspective, think of the Berylverse as the Marvel Cinematic Universe: That is to say, we have it divided into "Phases". The completion of 7DSJ will herald the end of what I'm going to call "Phase 2" of the BV (Phase 1, of course, being A Hairy Problem and its sequel). We have detailed plans in place up to Phase 4, and a somewhat rougher plan for Phase 5, which we're thinking may be the grand finale of the whole series.

For those feeling daunted by what's to come, let me clarify by saying: the other "Phases" will not be nearly as long as Phase 2. 7DSJ is a project that kind of got away from us, growing from what was originally just the second book with a oneshot prequel and epilogue to a full on quadrilogy with dozens of its own side stories. Suffice it to say, we'll be reigning ourselves in for the following Phases and have them more closely resemble the original plan we had for 7DSJ: With each Phase focusing on only one story with a few tie-in side stories here and there.

After 7DSJ is finally wrapped, we're going to kick off Phase 3 with three shorter side stories (one from each of us), which will bridge the gap between 7DSJ and the next major story. We hope you all stik around for what's to come. There are some truly diabolical things in the works and we'd hate for any of you to miss 'em!
