better now · 5:28am Jan 31st, 2018
Well, I'm still coughing but damned was that terrible. Temp of about 102 F (that's about 43C) for 3 days that I only kept manageable with pain killers, otherwise I would have boiled in my own skin.
The chapter of Lord Barleycorn is virtually unwritten. I've written countless pages now and they're all scraped, it feels like every time I try again I miss or forget some detail that leaves me feeling I need to just redo the whole thing. As is the case when i begin to repeatedly bash my head against the same scene over and over, I need to just do something different instead. Carrot Top was the one we were going to follow, so now I'll have to chose somepony else. Completely rework my approach.
Ouch dude. D:

Yeah, I mislabeled this as a cold. It was a chest-heavy case of the flu. I'm still not completely over it.

Not sure which is worse, a friend of mine got the bottom-end version of it.
I'd personally prefer that you rest up and get better before working on anything, sickness tends to be a finicky and often times unpredictable. Just when you think you're over it, a guerilla contingent makes a raid on your supply lines forcing you to split resources to shore up defenses from elsewhere. I'll see if I can get the recipe from my relatives thai rice porridge and pass it to you, that stuff always makes me feel better.
Hey, Uhm, just an idea? How 'bout you wait on makin' serious editorial ideas until you're at least not running a fever? Because those things screw with your brain, even more than the general misery and malaise of a nasty cold. Not saying not to write, 'specially not if yer havin' fun, but maybe hold off on scrapping things outright?
Oh, and of course concentrate the hell on getting better. That goes without saying, but...
Prefer that you spend efforts to get better, rather than trying to crank out another chapter. Ginger tea with honey is always soothing. Get well soon.
102 °F is 38.9… °C — unpleasant fever territory.
43 °C is 109.4 °F —probable death, permanent brain damage a certainty.
Glad to hear you're feeling better, cough notwithstanding

Don't worry, nothing's deleted. I have every attempt saved to two google docs so if I change my mind on any of it I can return to it.
Glad to hear that you are feeling better and good luck with the writing
