1) Magican (ma-jee-can) is the language most commonly used by ponies and griffons. It is derived from the languages of Ponish (pone-ish) {which is dervied from the languages of Pegasian (peg-uh-see-ian), Unicece (you-ni-see-ce), and Earthein (earth-ien)} and Talonian (tal-own-e-an). Magican and Draconic (dra-cone-ic) are two completely different languages, but the two languages can understand each other. Similar to animals, those who speak Breezan (bree-zan) can also understand Magican {and by extent Draconic}. A rarely used language is Zicae (zee-cay), which is almost exclusively used by zebras.
2) Though most ponies believe that Princess Celestia has god-like powers, she is actually quite weak. She is terrible at combat magic, with Princess Luna being far better at it than she. Although she can raise the sun, this does not demonstrate relating to fighting. This is why she is easily defeated by Nightmare Moon and Chrysalis.
3) The reason why Celestia loves cake so much is that alicorns need to eat something as similar to ambrosia and nectar as possible. Luna prefers to eat fruit, often in a similar manner to vampire fruit bats. They have to eat far more than regular ponies to get the proper amount.
This also explains why Pinkie Pie can eat so many sweets without getting sick. Her Earth pony magic is very unstable, nearly at the same power of an alicorn.
4) Whenever asked out her sexual preferences, Pinkie always answers with "allexual" since she has absolutely no preferences. To her, love is completely unbiased, so she doesn't bother thinking about gender or species.
5) Boulder is a piece of Holder's Boulder that chipped off. This is why Maud always brings boulder with her, so she has a piece of the family farm to remind her of who she loves the most.
6) When he was younger, Starswirl the Bearded was far less serious and professional. In fact, he liked to go out on weekends to have some "fun". This is the only reason he has any descendants.
