    Still Alive... Kinda

You know I've been very inactive (have almost 7500 notifications in my feed) and I have no apologies for that. I've been burned out on virtually everything and the latest hiccup with my internet hasn't helped either.

    Recent Downtime

So last Wednesday, I was doing a recording for my Let's Cheat channel and my video card decided to die. Got a new one and got it installed, then somehow, my computer's OS hard drive decided that it didn't want to boot into Windows anymore and auto-repair couldn't fix it.

The Return! · 2:05am Mar 18th, 2018

Alright, so I've been back for a few days, I wanted to chill out for a bit.

First off. Screw the Minneapolis airport. That place is too damn big. I went all the way from Concourse A to Concourse G, skipping the baggage claim part, so I had to go ALL the way there and to the baggage service desk to retrieve my suitcase, then go through check-in and security, then I had to go ALL the way back to Concourse G. Thankfully, I had a two and a half hour layover, or else I would've been screwed. Suffice to say, my feet were killing me that whole week.

I had a good time with my brother and sister in-law the time I was with them. For dinner that night, we went to this place called "Santiago's", it's a family run Mexican place, mostly like fast food, but they have the occasional dine in restaurant. I had their beef and bean stuffed sopapilla smothered with their half-and-half green chili. I thought it was going to do a number on me, but I was the victor.

We didn't do a whole lot on Thursday. I ran with my brother and sister in-law to do some errands and her mother made up meat loaf, mashed potatoes and corn for dinner. Yum!

Friday, my brother and I went to the 1-Up barcade in LoDo (Lower Downtown Denver). The place was amazing and the burgers were to die for. I also met up with my sister in-law's sister and her fiance and her mom made up chicken and dumplings for dinner. Also yum.

Saturday... the big day. My brother took me to my buddy's place, from Commerce City to Littleton. My friend and I spent most of the day running around, but we got to Video Games Live. I did the meet and greet after the show and got a couple of pictures with Tommy Tallarico as seen below...

And I also got a few CDs and my VGL Level 2 DVD/Blu-Ray signed.

The main conductor of the show was Emmanuel Fratianni, who helped Tommy with Advent Rising. Austin Wintory was there as well, he conducted a couple of segments and introduced his Kickstarter project. I didn't get a chance to meet Emmanuel, but Austin and Tommy were pretty cool dudes.

Sunday, we saw some videos that were taken at the show, and one of them was at the same level we were at, just on the other side. Me and my buddies were in the front row of the second section from the far side.

We also had a D&D session and made up some food and boozy drinks. I made up dinner and a milkshake, and when those videos are done, I'll post them here.

I spent most of Monday playing housesitter while my friend was working, but we had dinner at a place called Robert's, an Italian-American place with awesome calzones. I also picked up volume 1 of the Halo: Escalation comic series. I thought it'd make for some nice reading when I got bored.

My brother picked me up on Tuesday and we kinda chilled for the day, then it was back to the airport on Wednesday. It wasn't as bad on the return trip.

So yeah. That was my trip. I had an awesome time, and I hope that I'll have the opportunity to do all of it again.
