Update · 7:32am Apr 10th, 2018
I'm alive. I swear.
I've been working on Lord barleycorn, and can now say that editing can begun. The slowness is mostly due to me having to reread the entire story due to some plot threads I needed to end. Before it was simple, I have a simple direction and I could write whatever I liked, world build freely... its another matter when you have to keep in mind all those details you thought up on the fly to prevent a plot hole.
Before I pass it onto my editors I have to make my sweep. I doubt I'll get everything as always but now comes the point where I grumble and complain as I question every single word choice. Its fun in a masochistic way.
Rarity approves!
Excellent
Ah, the agony of diction. It hurts so good, doesn't it?
And then you can update you're lost and blind story I've been waiting for it to be finished for a long time!
"You are your worst own critic"
Is that how the saying goes? I can understand the desire to cover loose ends, I just hope you don't tangle yourself up like kitten with a ball of yarn....
....on second thoughts that would be hilarious, but you know what I mean. Metaphoricals man, their like the drugs of literature.

Undoubtedly. I almost never have a good thing to say about my own writing, and when I was reading I had to fight from editing every tiny mistake I saw. I am a very very harsh critic when it comes to my own work.

I'm sorry its taking so long. But I will not rush and deliver my readers a substandard product.
I mean, so long as you're alive. I keep coming across the Lord Barleycorn song in my playlist, and every time it does, it reminds me to comeback and check this. Glad I did to see this update.

I understand however I do definitely look forward to it it is very unique as far as hie fiction goes I look forward to the next update no matter how long it takes
Glad to hear of your survival! I only just discovered this story and despite my best efforts to ration it have consumed it entirely too fast. More is needed.
"I bet you say that to all the Mares.": Quote from Princess Celestia in a official press release.
Could be worse than a mere re-reading. Your room could be filled with hasty notes and post-its, maybe a picture or two and string, lots and lots of string that connects thumbtacks going here and there in a Discord Approved(tm) cobweb mess that requires you to also be wearing a tinfoil hat and muttering about Equestrian conspiracies.

Not quite; just several txt files full of notes, deleted scenes, ideas for the future, and a back up of the current chapter.
And of course my tin foil beret.
