Four Films that Define How Damaged I Am · 3:05am Apr 19th, 2018
There's this silly meme going around on Twitter where you post four screenshots from films that you feel define you in some way.
Well.
If you're unclear on cinematic history, that's Hellraiser, Watership Down, Brazil, and The Empire Strikes Back. Runners up included Blade Runner, Nightbreed, and Videodrome. My second-favorite Star Wars film is Rogue One, the one where literally every major character dies in the third act.
Damn, I'm a gloomy son of a bitch.
Oh, I'm totally Scott Pilgrim, The Big Lebowski, 21 & Over, and . . . I'm not sure I know what my fourth is! Into the Woods?
With the exception of Empire, this is... yeah.
You had an interesting childhood.

Jurassic Park, The Iron Giant, Blade Runner, and Dr. Strangelove. Not sure what that says about me.

Lilo and Stitch, How to Train Your Dragon, Howl's Moving Castle, Treasure Planet
My list STARTS with Empire Strikes Back, then it's John Wick, because I love the visuals, especially how every so often there'd be a little bit of blood hit the camera, third is Deadpool, but that's bias, because the first comic book I ever read was Cable and Deadpool, and fourth is... a tie between The Prince of Egypt and The Road to El Dorado, both because they were pre-CG DreamWorks and had such astonishing visual style, PoE having a better narrative and myself being Catholic I found it a brilliant rendition of the tale of Moses, El Dorado, because it made brilliant use of colour whilst maintaining realism and you just can't go wrong with Elton John in the soundtrack.

I saw Watership Down in 4th grade. Instant furry. Well before I knew what one was, of course.
That you have excellent taste.

I haven't seen it, but It sounds like I would enjoy this film.

Good action movie with no shaky-cam or quick-cuts, Keanu Reaves did most of his own stunts, acting was brilliant across the board.
The sequel's good too, Ruby Rose playing a mute was an interesting touch, but I personally prefer the first.

Omg dude did you ever read the How to Train Your Dragon books? I loved them when I was a kid. I watched the first few episodes of Dragons: Riders of Berk back when it started out on Cartoon Network; maybe I'll pick that back up sometime.
Also Treasure Planet.
Hey, Chuck!!! What about four games that define you?? Go!!
