    Extremely sad news.

Hey everyone. Drew Olson, AKA CanterlotGuardian, is no longer with us. I just found out last night that he died. I don't know many details, but I know he was sick and in the hospital.

I really don't know what else to say...

Edit: I just found out that he died of a blood clot in his lung.

Booping around in my Google docs.

And I went over an old story of mine. The one I tagged for this blog. Til Death do us Part. I have been wanting to write for the last couple of weeks or so, but cannot for the life of me get anything out of my head for Reflections. As I am reading over this story though, I think I now know where it is going to go. So, be on the lookout for another chapter in this story, hopefully within the next

Humans are dumb. That is all.

We could make them smarter.

4874004 Oh, believe me, I try. I really do. Problem with that is, humans are dumb.

Seriously though, you can only help or change someone if 1. They acknowledge a problem that needs to be fixed, and 2. If they let you help or change them.

I would love nothing more than to enact true change, but that is far easier said than done.

If you were given ultimate power, how would you enact the needed change?

4874220 Depends on what you mean by ultimate power.

4874486 When you told someone to do something, they would make it their life's goal to do that. You'd be the ultimate dictator and no one would be able to resist your will.

What would you tell humanity to do?

4874618 I would do two things.

First and foremost, I would make every individual in existence kind.

Kindness is the only quality worth having. Kindness is the highest form of intelligence.

Secondly, I would make the only time people could utilize violence was in self defense.

4874683 I'm not sure if only intelligence can produce kindness. Look at ants, for example. They're dumb, yet they're very kind to each other.

As for violence, it already is only allowed in self-defense. Any other use of it will end up in a fine or even jail time.

The thing is, in a society of kind individuals, a non-kind individual can prosper, taking advantage of the kind souls around her. It may be a law of sociology that a kind society could only last for a short time.

I am on board with you in valuing intelligence, though. I don't see many scientists in a fist fight. I do see many stupid people getting physical. Perhaps if we were all more intelligent, we'd realize that violence isn't the best solution to fix our differences.

4874701 Youre missing it. If every person that is alive or will live is kind, then those unkind people would be a null issue. Its as simple as that. If one cannot see the logic and sense it makes to be kind to others over anything else, there is something wrong with that person.

4874707 There will always be people who will take advantage of others. Even if there was just one person, in a benevolent society she'd be unstoppable. Her bad deeds would be repaid in kindness and her motivation to change her egotistical ways would be null.

Ask yourself. If you lived with an egotist, which one of you would be more likely to get hurt? The problem with kindness is that it oftentimes repay.

That we are, as are you. Welcome to the Dumb Dumb Club.
