So You Have Depression... · 3:56am Jun 5th, 2018
The trick to it is suicide. And the trick to suicide is procrastination. It's true. Give yourself a day. Go on. Do it. Set the date and time, then go out and get your affairs in order. Talk to friends and family, watch a movie, look at the news, try a new game or beat an old one, pick a fight or take a flight, just go out and do your bucket list. Just one day, the last day. Have you done it? Lived your last day just the way you wanted? Good. It's that time now. It's fine to say no, I'll take another day, that's where the procrastination comes in. It's where it always comes in.
The bad days will always come and linger and they stick so much longer than the good ones. That's the way things are. You just have to try and remember the good things about life.
Life is a series of days, of moments, of time and it's always changing and you just have to push through until you find the flow fits you once more. Just wait a little longer. And if you can't wait a little longer by yourself, well... I hear My Little Pony has a bunch of fans lingering around somewhere.
I still read the poem you wrote for To Try for the Sun sometimes as a pick-me-up.

That's... That's both embarrassing and oddly touching to me.
I'm really glad that I can help.

Link to "To Try for the Sun" because I believe that linking things that other people might not know off-hoof is good, and it wouldn't have been egotistical if Rune Soldier Dan had done so.

I wrote a poem for it funny enough

He mentioned that, yes...
Procrastination, yes--but it's not really procrastination; just the knowledge that there's legitimately no external time pressure. My advice to people is to make up a list ahead of time of something to try before suicide, and it has to be something you would never do. Not to stop you from doing it, but because if you're considering suicide, what you do normally isn't working, and you should try something you'd never do.
I actually did that once, too. Not gonna say what I did, because it was socially unacceptable.
Hate and bitterness can also help. I know that if I commit suicide, certain people in my life will laugh. They'll have won. I can't let them win.

If you can't live for yourself, find other things to live for until you're ready to live for yourself again is another way i've heard it put.
Honestly speaking? Fanfiction and anime has probably saved my life more than once. Dang, stupid cliffhangers. I've got to know how it ends before I end, you know you know!
5675865 I used to save each new MLP episode for a depressive episode. I never fell very far behind, but I never ran out of episodes until season 6 or so. This became less useful over time, as the writers seemed to put less and less effort into their scripts, until by the time of the School of Friendship, when they didn't even bother making a floor plan for the school (doors go to a different place every time someone uses them), and new episodes depressed me instead of uplifting me. But I still haven't watched the last episode.

It's... not very good. Hopefully, you've found other media to ply you through your episodes of ennui. Have you tried checking out the Touhou fandom?

I never heard of it until now. The fandom sounds intriguing, though bullet shooters aren't interesting to me.

Eh I'm mostly in it for the music and the Fandom
Which funnily enough is how MLP got me
First it's catchy songs
Then cute artwork and good stories
Next thing you know I'm plotting my figurine collection
