Marwile watches SAO Part 13: "I need logic" · 9:37pm Jun 15th, 2018
So I went to a bookstore this week and actually by chance found some of the SAO light novels. I leafed through the fairy dance one and guess what, the underwear scene from last episode actually had art in it. I was sarcastic whe I said it was important.
The episode is also an illogical lot of nothing. Kirito and Leafa are in a cave now. Apparently they can't fly in there, not sure if it ever got explained. Also Kirito tries to learn magic, his race is said to be good at illusion magic. They find and kill the tracer (the animal to track other players whose name I forgot last time) and try to escape their followers. They are stopped right before the village on a bridge over an underground sea by an earth barrier. Again, I hope I just missed he explanation why they don't fly over it.
It comes to battle. The enemies show proper strategy by having tanks in the front and healers and mages in the back. Kirito wants Leafa to stay back because clishee line number 7: I don't want to hurt you. He's totally losing. When Leafa offers to give up, Kirito gets angry, because clishee line number 13: I won't let any of my friends die. (Dude, it's just a videogame)
He uses illusion magic to turn into a huge monster and curbstomp the enemies, impaling them on his claws, eating them and nearly snapping the last one's neck before Leafa stops him.
She wants to torture him for information, but Kirito now stops her and instead bribes him. (Leafa's reaction: "Pah, men"). They then literally have a conversation about how the guys tasted...
*deep breath*
THAT'S NOT HOW ILLUSIONS WORK, GODDAMMIT!
Suguha takes a break to find out what Recon tried to tell her. She calls him and finds out that Sigurd (the douchebag we met once) is betraying the sylphs to the salamanders. His avatar has also been captured by them.
The leaders of the sylphs and of the... (I suck at names) catgirls are meeting for a peace treaty and the salamanders plan to attack them. Leafa thinks Kirito might be better off with the salamanders and offers him to betray and kill her (Wut?), but clishee line number 13 again, so they take a detour to save them. Also Kirito suddenly has super speed. Could have been useful earlier.
Monster Musume is the anime that airs after SAO and I've been very glad for that. I think I never appreciated it so much just for its logic.
