4. Almonds are not a nut; they belong to the peach family.
5. More people die each year from falling coconuts than shark attacks: 6 deaths annually from shark attacks, average of 150 deaths annually from coconuts. The tasty fruit might seem innocent, but as it falls and strikes the ground (or someone's head) below, it can hit with a force of up to 1,000 kgs (factors depend here).
6. A majority of oak trees do not produce acorns until they are at least 50 years old.
7. Jellyfish are 95% water.
8. Dolphins can hear sounds underwater from up to 15 miles away.
9. March 14th is "Save a Spider Day."
10. The largest predatorial land animal is the kodiak bear of Alaska. It can grow up to 14 ft tall (standing on its hind legs) and weigh over 1,500 lbs.

Once again, shocking facts. The ones with the jellyfish and the almonds were what really took me by surprise! Though, I already knew the one about the coconuts, I saw it myself and it is...not artery sight.

that is one big bear.
That's everyday I see a spider. I always take insects outside. I'm such a spineless pacifist. Though I did have a mutual relationship with one that built a web between my computer tower and desk. It killed 16 ants that would have been leaving a trail for more to come
