Awesome!:ajsmug:👍

I just wish you could fave/upvote blog-posts, 'cause I certainly would this one.

Can't wait, gonna be treating this as an early birthday present. And I now have a reason to reread 7DSJ! Really can't wait.

the Icons are confusing ? the crystal heart snookered the GAPT escape trick of flaming doom ?:rainbowhuh:

Oh, and it bears mentioning that this guy is authoring it, so you folks had better be watching him if you aren't already!

Yup, that. My bad.

What's confusing about them? The top one is obviously Raspberry Beryl's CM.

Good. That should mean that Shin's time would be free for other endeavors.

Yup. Worked on the first font I've designed in years, as well as began the third draft of my newest novel.

I was going to make a joke about this...until I remembered what else is planned.

If it's original fiction, just remember that self publishing is the last resort of a loser. If no editor wants to bet their company's money on your work, you shouldn't do so either.
Just like I am doing right now: if no newspaper wants to print the essay I'm currently writing on the Mayan Train Project, and I can't otherwise make Cancún talk about it, I won't be an idiot and try to hand it over to the new Mexican president in person.

I've come to accept that the well has dried up. Thankfully, he's hardly the only author I follow.

Actually, I disagree. Some people don’t want to hand over their stuff to Disney, they want to be the next Disney, which is what I’m aiming for. We used to have 90 entertainment companies here in the United States, and now we’re basically down to six and their endless subsidiaries. Even modern companies, such as Rooster Teeth, which could have survived on their own, have gone the subsidiary route (RT is a subsidiary of Warner Media, which is itself an AT&T subsidiary). I don’t want that. So if I do self publish, it’ll be because I have my own company to do it through (which I’ve had since 2004).

And as for AAG drying up? It hasn’t. In truth, the delay is due to outside forces (seriously). We’re waiting on a cover that Cody commissioned for AAG Book II, and he hasn’t heard much about it in a while. That’s had a knock on effect on both AAG2 planning and thus TBS.

You can aim to become the next Hellboy.

If you were considebly younger than me, I would tell you to go and break a leg.

Considering that you are at least 20 years older than me, though, I have a song for you:

Work hard, don't leave anything to chance, don't coast on past success nor let your sails adrift, but learn to be happy with what you've got, and live your life intensely. Don't go into the grave with regrets.

Basically, work hard, but concentrate on happiness rather than ambition. Ask your wife whether she wants to forever chase the pie in the sky, or whether she would prefer to drink tea and play old maid in a retiree colony in Mexico, or Bolivia. And as much as you two shouldn't completely retire if you don't feel like it, do consider that we are now living in the freaking 21st century, and that rather than use a drawing table the size of a sofa, you can draw with a Wacom tablet on your lap, connected to a laptop, from the shores of Lake Pátzcuaro, or Lake Titicaca, or Lake Bacalar.

And don't forget my standing promise to help you plan your next vacation, anywhere, anytime. Do remember that I have a degree on tourism.
