My Own Metrics Fascinate Me · 11:29am Sep 25th, 2018
As I slowly inch towards 1500 followers, every so often I delve into the About section of my profile here, and study some of my posting history.
Out of the 36 stories I have started on here, I have completed 31 of them beginning to end, cancelled 3 of them, and 2 remain in-progress.
The vast majority of those (29 stories) were started, and in most cases continued and finished, during the fall and winter months. The notable exceptions are of course Letters From A Disgruntled Friendship Student, and parts 2-4 of my Mistress Do Well pentaolgy, started in the summers of 2012 and 2014, respectively.
The longest I have gone without posting a new story is nearly one full year, from late October 2016 (Sunburst's Weekend Off) to mid October 2017 (Starlight's Weekend Off). It took me nine months to finish Sunburst's Weekend Off.
When it comes to rating, 15 stories are Everyone, 6 are Teen, and 15 are Mature.
My most popular story is, to absolutely no surprise, Letters, with 1.8 million hits across all chapters. That is the vast majority of the 2.3 million hits that all of my stories combined have received.
My most commonly written characters are Starlight Glimmer, Twilight Sparkle, Tempest Shadow, Princess Luna, Rainbow Dash, and Sunset Shimmer.
I like checking this stuff out occasionally.
Also, browsing r/dataisbeautiful is always interesting.
How the hell is Tempest one of your most common characters if she's only existed for less than a year?

My experience: it's mainly about the actual character, not the length of time they've existed for.

Those are in no particular order. But in the past year, I've written four stories about Tempest.
