Hello! I got your letter, and I have to say, I'm rather ~~nervous~~ excited to be writing one back to you! I haven't written a letter properlly in a whil

You might be able to tell, but I'm not very good at writing by mouth, so I sort of got a unicorn friend of mine to... ~~Uhm, what was the word? Transcribe.~~ Transcribe it for me. ~~Thanks Dusky.~~ Anyway, as I was saying, I haven't written a letter in a while, so you'll have to forgive me if it seems a little awkward. Oh! And, I suppose I should introduce myself. My name is Hail Storm, I'm a pegasus mare, from Canterlot, just like you! I live in an apartment, again like you, but with a little foal! His name's Cloudburst, and I found him all alone on the streets a few months ago, and adopted the poor thing. In the apartment across from mine, is the unicorn friend who's helping me out right now! He's called Dusk, and he's really nice. And cuddly.
~~The spell heard that one. What? oh. Uhm. Just, uh, scratch that out.~~

You’ll have to forgive the scratching out, the spell that Dusk’s using, while it allows me to, heheh, pace while I voice my thoughts, it also picks up just about everything it hears, and writes it down. And I’m not sure where all the paper went, so there's only this one clean sheet I found. I think maybe Cloudburst nicked it. Explains all the paper planes he’s been making. Oh dear, I’m rambling again. Sorry. That happens sometimes.

Did I mention you have a beautiful name? Melody Breeze. It kind of sounds… poetic, in some way. For some reason I get the feeling of sitting on the porch at the old family home, and listening to the wind chimes on a ‘windy but not overly windy’ kind of day. It’s not like mine, ‘Hail Storm’. For that, I’d imagine someone’s first thoughts would be very literal. A hail storm. Not many people like them, but I do.

That painting you talked about, the night one. It sounds eerily beautiful. The way you described it sent a shiver down my spine and made my wings go all fluffy. They don’t do that very often. I really want to see that painting of yours, as well as the mare behind it. Oh! And don’t worry about talking to yourself, I catch Dusk doing it sometimes.

Anyway. I’m not quite certain how this letter ended up in my mailbox, but I’ll definitely be your ~~penpal~~ ~~friend~~ friend! And my favourite food is pancakes. Are pancakes? One or the other. Either way, I’m really good at cooking them, and both Dusk and Cloudy really like them! ~~Hey Dusk, could you put a like, smiley face there for me? Sure. Don’t chuckle at me, meanie.~~ :)

Riiight. I suppose I should tell you a bit more about me? I. Let me read over the letter again, hold on.

///after a long hiatus, i bring... something that i did in around an hour or two. instead of sleeping. as well as school tomorrow, it seems i have no regrets. didn't have enough words for a story, so, a blog! yay.
