Has this been done before?

Hello and long time no update.

I'm looking for thoughts on a potential project, but I don't want too many people to know about it yet.

I'm thinking of possibly doing youtube again, but make story blogs about a guy who becomes a monster hunter. It would start with him talking about everyday life and all, and progress through his first encounter with some monster and how he decideds to start training/researching to fight these monsters. All of it would be blog in front of the camera, but I'd write a script so it would be telling a story. I'd keep them short, but each time show something new.

Has anyone seen something like this done before?

Reminds me of some 4-Chan and reddit posts but in the form of video instead of written. It could be interesting depending on if it’s just blog videos or you add flare to them like things going on in the background to set the right feeling. Like maybe the guy captures one of the monsters locks it in the closet then records his blog while the thing in the closet is banging the door behind him possibly even escaping only to be shoved back in as the guy awkwardly finishes the blog video trying to act like that didn’t just happen. Just an idea not sure if you’d already thought of something like that.

That’s actually an interesting idea. Not sure how I would pull that off, but that’s where inginuity and special effects come in.
