    Droppin' By

Hello, I was in the neighborhood and had just realized that my last blog post was a bit of a downer, given that it was around the time of my Grandma's passing and funeral. I think I oughta leave you folks with something a bit more upbeat or at least something neutral.

    And Now, A Newsletter

Huh, back in July I said I oughta talk more around here. It's now the day after Christmas and I have not, in fact, talked more around here.

So, I'll give you the rundown on what I've been up to since then. Warning, it gets a little long in talking about last summer's vacation and about a new fixation I have.

Happy Halloween! · 3:03pm Oct 31st, 2018

In which I blab about random Halloweeny stuff and share arts.

From Tommy's blog or DeviantArt...

This thing was inspired by a scene in an episode of Miraculous Ladybug that freaked a lot of fans out. If you watch that show (and have seen that particular episode), you know exactly what I'm talking about!

Bluejinx having a little fun with his costume.

Because I wanted to try a werewolf Cheese that didn't look like a cute puppy like the other times. I sadly cannot draw scary things.

Because somepony's birthday is in October.

What a bunch of idiots. I know that the bros have similar builds and facial structures, have the exact same eyes, and bear the family forelock with naturally curly hair, but they have no excuse for completely ignoring the freakin' coat and hair colors.

I also still kind of want to see some other person's take on a werewolf Cheese Sandwich story. I know I kind of have my own in Brotherly Bonding Time (I also have a vampire story in there... granted, neither are really traditional takes on either story), but I'm awfully curious to see what some other person would come up with.

Here's a past journal of mine of this pondering of mine that never leaves.

And lastly, I want to express some cartoon things that gave me chills when I was a kid (and still do when I'm grown):

~Samurai Jack--The Aku Infection. Ah, I remember randomly tuning in to see Jack get sneezed on by Aku and end up turning into a mini-clone of him. It was so freaky to see him just slowly turn evil and get literal black splotches on his skin that spread and spread until he screamed and yelled all Aku-like, like he was possessed. That actually still creeps me out.

~Teen Titans--The Beast Within. Most people would have gone for Fear Itself or Haunted, but honestly? Given that Raven and Robin, the stars for those two episodes, were already serious characters, I expected serious episodes from them (plus, I never found Fear Itself to be that scary). But the funny guy, Beast Boy? Seeing him essentially turn into an angry, feral werebeast was something that shook me (and how appropriate that the episode premiered in late October when I was ten). Heck, I'd say that it was an inspiration for how Cheese's werewolf transformation went (because seeing a funny guy become a nasty monster... that's still scary to me).

~Ben 10--Anything to do with Ghostfreak! Especially that time he possessed Gwen and made her fight Ben and threatened to make her jump off a building. Yikes.

~Avatar: The Last Airbender--The Puppetmaster. Do I even need to elaborate on why Bloodbending is so terrifying?

~The Hunchback of Notre Dame--Frollo's death scene. The whole movie's dark, but I distinctly remember, when watching the movie at my cousin's house one time, I got freaked out at that moment when the gargoyle that Frollo clung onto just before it broke off suddenly came to life. I didn't watch the movie for years after that.

Well, that's the things that stick out in my mind. In other cases, I just liked the Halloween specials of cartoons because they were a lot of fun and it was fun seeing the characters dress up and see what kind of crazy, spooky things the creators came up with. So, what sticks out in your minds?

All right, see you later, and Happy Halloween! :pinkiehappy:
