Something I've learned about Pokemon Go. You can trade the little critters and get achievements based on how many miles they are from home. Since people from all over will be in Baltimore, and there's a channel in the Bronycon Discord server for fellow addicts... (I just put my code over there for sharing. This is not a cynical attempt to get two more friends on my list to get an achievement. Well... Maybe it is.)

Sorry to say that I nope'd out of Pokemon Go right at the beginning, as all my friends were trying to pull me in and I asked "How do you win the game?" and everyone just gave me a blank look. I lose enough time to games with actual endings; I can't afford to get sucked into MMOs whose endgame is just an infinite escalating sequence of Being Better Than Other People.
Which is a shame, because I do love the idea of "you actually have to get out of your chair and explore the world" that they built the game around.
4976866 Yeah, it's a lot like Portal, in that it is a different way of looking at phone gaming, with different levels of fanaticism. For example, I just got back from driving around Manhattan looking for Pokestops I've never visited so I can get an achieve. I've got PonyPokefriends in my list from NZ and South Africa, so I get these gifts from the strangest of places. And of course it gets my plump rump off the chair, which is worth it right there.
