Man, has it really been a year since my last blog? Geez, I am lurking hard.
So, what prompted this latest revival? Well, imagine my surprise last week when I log into Discord and see a bunch of DMs and @mentions! Didn't take long to see what the clamor in the streets was about; Avensis/CoffeeGrunt, Allegrezza's writer and my eternal shipping rival, is retiring from the fandom and closing shop at FimFic. Understandably, this raised a bit of alarm within the ranks of Coffee's fell army of OctoScratch thrawl fans, so in the interest of preserving a much-loved fanfic for posterity, I've been chosen as Allegrezza and VinylTavia Miscellanea's keeper.
See what I did there? Eh? Eh?
And yes, having your rival carry on your legacy is like, the most anime thing ever.
Anyways, now that I have Allegrezza in the stable, let's talk about its future: following in the footsteps of the highly successful DC cinematic universe, I've decided that a shipping super-team-up action fic is in order. As had been hinted at continuously throughout The Ballad, our heroes will be facing a new threat: extra-Equestrian invaders intent on collecting and harnessing the power of the six Elements of Harmony to form the Eternity Horseshoe. Twilight seemingly sacrifices herself to protect her friends and to prevent the Element of Magic from being taken; in truth, her soul has become bound to an ancient library deep in the Everfree.
Without their leader, the rest of our crew has scattered to the four corners of the world, each facing their own challenges as they fight to keep the Elements from falling into the wrong hooves. Rainbow Dash and Applejack vow to never be so hopelessly outclassed in a battle again, and take part in an awesome training montage/time-skip as Rainbow Dash learns to fly like lightning and Applejack learns to be as unmovable as a mountain. Rarity and Fluttershy find love as the former seeks the power of an alicorn and the latter decides to finally cut loose and resume her Royal Guard commission. Trixie, now coated in red and calling herself Phoenix, travels to the Dragonlands with Pinkie Pie and Spike to either secure the dragons' cooperation against invaders... Or prevent them at any cost from betraying Equestria (Dragon cupcakes, anypony?).
Meanwhile out in space, Vinyl and Octavia, having been abducted by space pirates at the end of Allegrezza, manage to escape their captors during a prison break with the aid of a powerful cyborg warrior calling herself Moondancer. Tensions rise between the trio as Octavia begins to not only pay more and more attention to this newcomer, but also discover more about her past and the otherworldly truth about her mother. Meanwhile, Vinyl holds a concert that moves the hearts of billions of beings across the galaxy, ending numerous wars and marking her as prominent target in the sights of our real villain: Pipsqueak.

Or I could just leave Allegrezza as-is, you know, for past and future readers to enjoy as its author intended. Anyways, I don't want to make this post any longer than it needs to be ("Oh, hey, let me tell people that Allegrezza will be hosted on my account now!"), so I'll write up another post later in the week, sort of an What's-Grave-Been-Up-To thing.

I WOULD love to see Ballad wrap up, it's one of my favorites and MAY have helped get me into the fandom in the first place...
As another like 5000718 whose years of horse-filled silliness started with Ballad, I'm mostly just glad you're still around after that chaos a couple years ago.
