Q&B 2019 Update plus Patreon Changes · 2:58pm Feb 3rd, 2019
Hello Q&B and pony fans
January has come and gone in this new year and I feel that I'm already off to a better start when it comes to writing than I was in 2018. That, my friends, is going to be the 'theme' of this year: writing. Shocking when it comes to a fan fiction site, I know.
2018 was a challenging year from a family, professional, and writing perspective. I lost my mojo and it took me some time to get it back. I found it again with Azure Days and now I'm quite eager to get working on my next projects. That will be a short story about a new character and co-writing Beyond the Vale part 2 with Crystal.
Crystal and I have also agreed to make some changes to how we approach the fandom and our love of it. To quote Crystal we're 'going back to basics.' That essentially means making the writing our focus. Writing our stories and writing together. We'll be disengaging from other FIM Fiction communities and focusing on QNB.
We've also set more realistic goals for ourselves that reflect our new reality. We would like to have one update a week every week without doing a serial story. That means the two of us will be working on projects, finishing them in the background, and queuing them up. Right now Azure Days will run for another 10-15 weeks. After that, we hope to have Beyond the Vale going.
As part of this focus on reality, we're changing our Patreon rewards and how we do it slightly. I won't go into details here, but if you are a patron, please check in! For those that want to do some support, but not as a patron, we've started a Ko-Fi account too. As with Patreon, this money will largely go into our charities and/or QnB art.
Last, and most exciting to me, the Secrets of a Royal Guard hardcover proof copy arrived and it is great. Expect to see that available within a week or two.
Thank you all for your support! I'm looking forwards to a great 2019 of writing.
Ok, good luck
Looking forward to reading more from you and Crystal! I wish you both a wonderful year and hope we meet again at BronyCon!
well, i have been doing it for a long time as a support for your work... don't care much about the reward anymore as time passed and i read less and less this days.
do need to use Discord more...
