    Preview of things to come

Keep it together… keep it together… Rundown told himself for what must have been the eightieth time this hour. Future Plans and Konsequences Lookback

Well here we are, Konsequences is finally finished. Never imagined I would invest so much into it and it would take this long. Given how much this has nagged at me over the years, I’d thought I’d make a little essay just to have some closure on the whole ordeal and maybe share some insights into the story.

First though I want to announce some things.

Keep it together… keep it together… Rundown told himself for what must have been the eightieth time this hour. Thursday night had arrived and after slogging through his classes and managing to drag Quibble along in a timely manner, the two of them were now on the bus toward the South Canterlot Public library.

“Ey, what’s gotten into you man?” the friend in question whispered to him. “You getting nervous already?”

“Oh, I don’t know. Maybe it’s the fact we’re two perverts from Sunny Town High suddenly volunteering for some charity work so we might be walking right into a disaster?” Rundown shot back, almost raising his voice too loud.

“Well this was your idea! And why did you even have this idea again?”

“‘Cause we’re losers who need to show we’re actually not and this is a good chance to show that.” He looked out the window, scratching his head. “Plus who knows? Maybe actually getting some sunshine apart from when we go to school could help.”

“Well so far el sol need to turn the brightness down.” Quibble smirked as he added. “Then again it allows us to really look at some girls.”

Rundown growled, spinning back to face him. “See? That’s the problem! We’re – well mostly you right now – are thinking with our dicks! And what just happened with all these shitbags who thought with their dicks just a while ago?”

The black haired teen lost his smug smirk as those words seemed to actually pierce through his head. “Well… shit,” he admitted. “But it’s not like we’d ever do that,” he mumbled.

And have a taste of my own story to come!

Both Twilight and Spike looked all around them as they passed into Vanhoover proper. In preparation for this relocation, Twilight had undergone a quick brush up in regards to Vanhoover itself. She could most definitely conclude that the whole of the city was was more expansive than Canterlot on both the vertical and horizontal plane. The buildings themselves were a definite change, while Canterlot had a mix of stone and decorative metal; Vanhoover had decided to adopt more streamlined materials such as steel. While she already missed the glint and beauty of Canterlot, she couldn’t deny the ease and structural awe from an efficiency standpoint. The skyscrapers in particular had caught her attention, many of them seemed to be taller than the spires of Canterlot castle.

Though, all that was made hard to notice as a fog was permeated all around them. Her annoyance at that though started to drain as she suddenly observed many pegasi all around her rapidly scrambling back and forth. Some of them were creating miniature tornadoes, others corralling the fog into clouds to haul away, and others still just sweeping it away with their own wing beats.

The biggest surprise however was what else she saw in the sky. Or perhaps who as she witnessed griffons flying around them. Some were assisting with the weather, while others looked like they were on their merry way. That got Twilight to quirk an eyebrow as her brain began to start up: how many of those griffins lived here? Did they have an obligation to assist with the celebration? Or perhaps they volunteered regardless of that? How much weather control did they have compared to pegasi? Did they fly in for the main celebration? Even in Canterlot when they weren’t the hosting city she couldn’t recall seeing a griffin.

Stay tuned, folks!
