Came back from eating dinner to finally notice that I only need to do ten problems of my choice off the worksheet, not the entire worksheet.

Well, it's a good thing I already did eight problems.

Jokes on you! I haven't had a Spanish class since 5th grade! I've been taking Mandarin Chinese classes since middle school!

And speaking the Cantonese dialect at home doesn't help at all when it comes to trying to remember how to pronounce something!

At least the writing system is still the same, so if I recognize the character then maybe I can understand it.

Don't ask me to read a newspaper clipping in Chinese though. My classes emphasize speaking primarily, so I only know a limited number of characters.
