“Okay, hang on!” Twilight interrupted. “Breathe again, like I showed you. Don’t get worked up.” Soldier repeated the breathing exercise several times. “Okay, so, the Doctor…he’s bad news, I get it. Time Lord, okay. Time traveler, that’s…okay, we’ll deal with that…somehow. But what’s this Doctor done?”
“The Doctor has attempted to destroy the Daleks countless times! The Doctor was there at our genesis, when we were first bred by the creator, Davros of Skaro! He was sent there by the Time Lords to exterminate us before we could even exist!”
Twilight seemed utterly shocked. “How could anyone want to erase an entire species from history? I mean, I don’t really like snakes all that much, but even I wouldn’t want to go back in time and stomp on the first snake egg!” She looked to Soldier. “These Time Lords…they sound like bad news.”
“Confirmed! They are the worst news!”
Yup, actually working on the next chapter of Dalek actively, having hit my writing stride again for...however long it lasts this time. All indications are that y'all will only have to wait mere weeks at most, not years. I do want to bang out a chapter in my Lunaverse story For a Few Bits More first, but I am already about 1,500 words into the next Dalek one, just hammering out the above scene first before moving on.
Just...bear with me, everyone. I promise I'm doing my best! Keep your hopes up! Don't let them be exterminated!
Also I think I might get into the habit of making a lot more blog posts just to keep more active on this site. Probably not one a day like I've been doing recently, but maybe once a week or so.
That is the whole issue. The Time Lords wanted to stop the Daleks from trying to destroy the universe. So they try to stop them at the start, paradoxes be damned, which not only does not work but is also likely why the Daleks decided to destroy the universe, instead of just sticking to their own planet.
Daleks VS Time Lords is a self made self fulfilling prophecy that has no end. It may look like it does, but it can never truly end. As long as their is one, there will always be one of the other. They might just take a very long time to meet.

Speaking of, the comedy in this next chapter is going to derive less from jokes and schtick and more from the absurdity of a Dalek managing to convince Twilight Sparkle as to the menace of the Doctor (in a rather similar way, one imagines, that the Doctor might describe Daleks to Twilight had they only met first). Different sort of comedy. I'll try and make the transition smooth. And there will still be shtick and jokes.
