You know what they say about the best laid plans? I'll be real brief with this update, for reasons that will be self-evident.

Another month, albeit the shortest of the year. I still haven't had a chance to get into the process side of my writing and write that detailed plan for the year, been too busy writing a novel. Guess that's a good problem to have.

This is exactly the 71st month I've posted a patreon calendar. Almost but not quite six years of writing fanfic, sharing all these ideas with you that would otherwise stay trapped in my head. I couldn't begin this post, and the beginning of a new year without expressing my profound thanks to everyone who keeps supporting me. Your help, big or small, is the only reason I'm still able to write

Hey Pones, time to give the update on this Month's Calendar. Pretty busy as you can see, even if not everything on there is a regular story. There's some exciting stuff to talk about, so let's get right into it.

First, anyone who was following my first print book project and hasn't seen, we have printed and shipped both the US and international copies! Every single person who ordered should be getting theirs within the next 2-3 weeks. It was an incredible learning experience for me, one I hope to use to make the next printing much smoother.

Now Synthesis, a story that I've been loving for the last several months, will be coming to an end. As sorry as I am to see its universe go, I'm quite happy with what that story achieved. It was a really fun one to tell.

Likewise the end of Second Sunset, which transitioned quite successfully to Fimfiction last week and will be finishing there. At the rate things are going behind the scenes I expect we might have more stories like this, stuff I'm working on backburner-style that goes up on Patreon a month or two before it goes public.

Now for the stories ending, there are new ones replacing them. Friendship Abroad has finished, and will be replaced with an awesome little sequel to the Last Migration. This is a smaller scale story, a novella set in the same world as Last Migration, a few decades after the war. Cover permitting, it will come to Fimfiction at the end of the month.

Then there's one I think people are really going to like: the story of what might've happened if instead of being banished to the moon alone, Nightmare Moon took her entire army with her instead. I'm constituting experts in rocketry, chemistry, and engineering to bring this hard-science take on primitive lunar colonization if things had gone just a little differently for Nightmare Moon. Cover permitting, this one will transition to Fimfiction either on the 25th, or the 1st of next month.

Then we have Secrets, which has been formally scheduled to begin on the 24th (and continue until its complete).

I cannot express enough how grateful I am to my patrons who make this insane calendar possible. This month marks its own milestone, though it's a little insane for me to contemplate. It is the first time I have ever had 100,000 words scheduled for release in a single month. All those who donate, even just a small amount, are making that novel's worth of content possible each month.

Now, what's going on behind the scenes? Three projects, some of which you may see soon. Another FiO Novella is in progress, an exciting idea I've never seen tackled involving Celestia's GPS navigation devices. I'm also working on a PaP story that I might or might not finish about seaponies and their conflict with Charybdis, as well as a software project needed to facilitate the spiritual sequel to Voyage of the Equinox. All this while writing all the stories you see for next month.

So thanks again to my supporters, and I'm sure you'll hear from me soon!

Estimation wise, how much more of Equinox are we getting? I'm honestly loving it and will be sad to see it end. (Though promises of a sequel are awesome! :raritywink:)

:trollestia: "In five hundred feet, make a left turn and say 'I want to emigrate to Equestria.'"

Everything sounds awesome, but the Global Positioning Sunbutt seems especially intriguing.

I plan roughly 100k for the story's length, but that might get stretched if we don't get to the end yet. We're at 95k right now, and I don't know what our realistic chances of getting to the end are in 5 chapters. My goal is 100k, but if it takes 120, then it takes 120.

Star, where in hell do you get the energy, inspiration, creativity and calluses on your fingertips to put all that out? If you got a secret, please let me know!

You is a real wonder!
(I wonder, is ya for real??)

We don't seem nearly that close to the end for Second Sunset.

It doesn't exist yet but I like it already!
