These Days · 6:31pm Nov 10th, 2012

There are certain days in the year where we look back and say "where did these past twenty years go?" We think of the places we've seen, the people we've met, the friends that have come and gone in our lives. And we wonder what happened. With everything, were we apart the problem or the solution. Looking back with knowledge and sense of the future, we see our pitfalls, our misgiving, The Transgression that we received, yet also gave, to and from our peers. We always went to action, never really stopped to think too much. We realize what love has left and what's left in us. How much have we changed from twenty, ten, five, and even a year to a month ago. How much have we given, how much or how little we've gained. All the could've, would've, should've moments. Every promise kept or broken, whether by yourself or others. With all this stuff, it easy to see why we don't think about it too much. It heartbreaking at some points, because no matter how hard we live our lives Whether it be the right way we think it, the morally right way, or just living by the skin of our teeth. We try to live as though we are bulletproof, invincible at times, a stonewall of emotions. An Iron Man of will. Able to hide the things that nag on our consciousness, that keep us up at night. To fight off even the strongest of demons. But behind the suit of armour, we are just people, wearing the suit to just get through the day, the week, the month, the year. We do it not for the sake of ourselves, but to those who may or may not understand. And then after everything we've done, who's to say we've lived it right.

490201 If we aren't, we're pretty freaking close.

490201 Just some thoughts i had, a bit of a ramble, i think

490327 Depends on how much you enjoy getting shot out of a perfectly good starship from high orbit in what is basically a rocket sled in a can. I've done my share of solo and tandem parachute jumps, but you could not pay me enough to do that with today's tech, Staff Sergeant.

493118 Well everyone knows you guys lead the way. I'm just there for when it absolutely, positively has to be destroyed overnight.

495242 Corps wouldn't take me on account of my screwing up my left ankle in High School, made it tough for me to march proper. Ended up going private for two years, working for a now-defunct milcorp based out of Germany. Came out the tail end with valuable experiences from the Balkans and the North Caucasus, 13 ounces of assorted metals embedded in my torso, and a few holes.

495344 it most certainly is, and Russkie 23mm shells have plenty of it to go around. I learned to despise Mi-24/28/35 series gunships. And getting caught on the side of a mountain when one shows up works as well in Chechnya as in that John Milius 80's movie with Pat Swayze.
