Van’s almost loaded for Bronycon. I’ve got books, I’ve got typewriters, and I’ve got more books.
I mentioned in a previous blog post or two that there were heated discussions going on with the cost of books. Well, that finally got resolved, and I can tell you that my books will all be selling for $10 each. Now, they will be charging tax on top of that, which apparently brings the total cost of each of my books to $10.59.
As far as I know, Aquaman will be accepting cash and credit cards at the booth.
I’ve been asked if there’s any way to reserve a copy of any of my books, and thus far I have not come up with a satisfactory method to do so. See, there’s limited space for inventory, which means that we can’t just have all the copies of our books at the bookstore from day one. There simply isn’t room.
As such, if I did take reservations beforehand, I’d either have to come up with a list--which would be one more thing the people in the booth would have to deal with--or else tag copies of the books as reserved for X, which likely would be my entire inventory.
I’ll keep y’all posted if things change once we get to the actual con.
As far as I know, there isn’t a complete inventory list available online just yet. I can edit that in later when we get one . . . Aquaman’s currently finalizing that, and he’s in the unenviable position of verifying from several dozen writers that books will be available, what the prices will be, etc. It’s basically like herding cats, I’d imagine. He currently has a nearly-official list, in case you want to peruse it.
It’s gonna be a lot of books, yo! This thing’s gonna be all kinds of insane, and I can’t wait!
Now that we’ve covered Admiral’s books, let’s say you want to meet me in person. I’ll be spending much time in Quills and Sofas, that’s probably your best bet.
You’ll also be able to find me at the bookstore from 4-5 pm on Saturday, at least assuming that we’ve still got books left to sell by then.
If I have room left in my van, I might pack some Magic cards--really old-school stuff, ‘cause that’s what I’ve got--and maybe play a few rounds with FoME, or anybody else who wants to.
And I still need to finish my blog post for Sam and Rose. . .

EDH, aka Elder Dragon Highlander, aka Commander, is the primary multiplayer format nowadays. You designate a legendary creature as your commander, there's special rules that let you cast it from anywhere, and you build a deck around it. 100 cards exactly, max 1 copy of each, no cards with a color your commander doesn't have.
That cooler better have beer in it!
