I have loved learning about My Little Pony since the begining when it was first called My Pretty Pony in 1981. And then watching it. I have not written any fan stories but I enjoy reading very much.

    News... Some Good Some Bad...

I know I haven't been chatty much. But I love my job and having the promotion is pretty exciting too. New responsibilities as a Sale's Lead which is really another name for manager.

Is anyone up that can talk...I am just hurting so bad right now...

My husband and I recently adopted a kitty oddly enough the day after my birthday in June. And we weren't looking to adopt a cat after our senior cats passed away...but our little Halloween Kitten came home. Well she looks like kitten but she is a 12 year old cat. Who sadly was in the shelter for over a year before she picked us.

Well now she's sick with hypothyroidism with we started her on meds for after she had a seizure which was terrifying for us all. More so for her...our little Cora is sick. And with that hyperthyroidism is an underlying heart problem. But we caught that too as her blood pressure at the vets today was really high.

And because of that blood pressure she's gone blind...won't eat yet and now has meds for hypothyroidism and blood pressure....

I'm scared I know shes a senior kitty too...but we are doing everything right...

Please help...so scared...she's home safe now not in a shelter she picked us...why again...so soon...I'm not saying she's our other senior cats Peanut and Bella that lived in their 20's in people years which made them both about 104 in cat years...

Cora is 12 we are doing all the right things...I'm scared, she's terrified...my husband is scared...everyone is depressed and scared...

I am so sorry to hear about Cora. Have you been able to take her to the vet? Also the shelter might be able to give advice on how to take care of her. Maybe you could call or visit the shelter you adopted her from and seek some advice on how to do so. I pray that your kitty will recover soon, my friend. I will be keeping your kitty in my prayers. I am always here if you need somone to talk to. Many hugs to you.

She's been to the vet. 3 times now. One for the seizure. One for blood work to find out the possible cause...which is hyperthyroidism. And just yesterday she went again because we knew something was wrong. And found out about the high blood pressure which has caused her to go blind....
We probably will talk with the shelter after we keep up with her meds and such with the vet. They may know how to help her feel less scared about being blind...
Its just hard because if it goes down that other road our other kitties have this soon...I don't know what I'll do...

5121402 I'm so sorry that your kitty is having a hard time. I'll be keeping her in my prayers. I hope she will get better soon.

Thank you...we have her meds in pill form. But she gets herself even more worked up when we try to give her the meds. Like to the point where she vomits or tries to when her little tummy is empty. Just now we decided to crush up the meds into her softest wet food. And syringe feed her some food and meds. Called the vet as they are 24 hours and tomorrow we will get them in liquid form. That way med time is quicker and less stressful on her.

She's so scared and we are for her too...

5121415 Aww poor kitty.

Well I found this article here: https://www.thesprucepets.com/feline-hyperthyroidism-552189

You might ask your vet about Radioactive Iodine Therapy. It seems to be highly effective at curing the hyperthyroidism.

I hope your kitty will get better soon. Hugs.

We know about the Radioactive Iodine Therapy but we want to try the meds to get that in her system. And if it really really helps her after another blood work check.

Luckily after giving her meds in food by syringe she's not hiding. We have her confined to 1 room as her would has drastically changed and she's so scared. And I think she's calmer and able to sleep normally.

Still doesn't want to eat on her own. But again we syringe fed her tonight so she has something in her little tummy.

5121751 Okay. I'll keep your kitty in my prayers. I hope she will continue to get better my friend.
