    The Outer Worlds

I got the game because it looked like the Fallout fix I needed. Obsidian, who made New Vegas, made it. It looked like Space Fallout and had a lot of similarities. Waited for the Black Friday sale, then grabbed it for $48. Thanks for the holiday, you turkey-eating Americans.

Upheavology: List of Pegasi in Upheaval

Rainbow Dash - bearer of the Element of Loyalty. The brash, hot blooded, only daughter of a middle class pegasus couple in Cloudsdale, Rainbow Dash dreamed of joining the Wonderbolts one day as their ace flier. She had the physical gifts and the confidence to reach for the dream, as well as her parents’ full support. Unfortunately, a lack of discipline and plain laziness got her kicked out of Cloudsdale Flight Academy. Mortified, Rainbow left Cloudsdale for Ponyville determined to make her own way to her dream without wasting any more of her parents’ resources. She took a job as the local weatherpony, hoping to earn enough to support herself while practicing for Wonderbolt tryouts. It was on this path where she met the other bearers of the Elements of Harmony, becoming their loyal friend after sharing adventures with them. At her best, she is brave, loyal, and dependable, and driven, able to provide blunt feedback when necessary, and always willing to take the direct approach. At her worst, she is violent, bad-tempered, and reckless, masking a degree of insecurity with a thick mask of arrogance and glory-seeking.

Though banishment was a time of terror and uncertainty for her friends, it was a chance at a grand adventure for Rainbow Dash. Out of all them, she thrived the most, at least early on, as the Legion approved of her natural aggression and her seeming lack of hesitation at killing the enemies of Equestria. This eventually brought her at odds with the rest of her friends, all of which came to a head when Applejack was gravely injured protecting her from a brachyurus. After fighting alongside her friends during the battle of Bastion City, Rainbow made amends.

The time after Reunification proved to be harsh for Rainbow Dash. She found herself a stranger in her old home, having taken to the Barrier Lands so well. Her old dream of being a Wonderbolt seemed both distant and less important. Still, she took pride in her flying skills, and pitted herself against the one she considered the best the Barrier Lands has to offer in Scarlet Rabbit. This proved to be a disastrous endeavor as she was already in the sights of Longstride, who shot her down in the middle of her race to be captured by ophidites. After a harrowing ordeal and some bizarre aid from Longstride himself, she was rescued, damaged but all the wiser after the ordeal. Rainbow would go on to confront Longstride, then right alongside him in the battle in the abyss.

After the feast celebrating the victory in the abyss, Rainbow flew West with Scarlet Rabbit and Longstride to put an end to the threat of Hasyth, who might yet attempt to capture her. In the process, she helped settle an old score Longstride had, and acquired a mysterious, ancient weapon to aid her in future battles.

Highly athletic and unafraid of direct confrontation, Rainbow Dash is well suited for fighting. She further tempers this disposition with some unique abilities.

Unyielding Conviction - As loyalty is a quality that only shines forth in the most trying times, so Rainbow’s abilities as the bearer of its Element comes forth in times of danger. In battle, Rainbow simply does not tire, able to maintain top speed for as long as necessary. She resists being knocked out, stunned, or magically impeded in anyway, even assaults on the mind will have only a brief effect, a boon when she has to constantly contend with her new weapon in mental battle.

Sonic Rainboom - Rainbow is not just simply one of the fastest fliers in all of Equestria. Her flight possesses a strange quirk that causes a riotous explosion of colors when she attains a certain level of speed. The only consistent effect of the Sonic Rainboom is that it grants Rainbow a massive burst of speed. Strange things have been known to happen in her wake, or none at all.

The Bone Thing - Rainbow Dash currently wields the Bone Thing, an ancient and powerful weapon from the time of the first ponies. It both drips with the taint of the abyss and burns with flames of the Eternal Herd, making it a symbol of the ponies of the world-within-the-void. With it and her natural velocity, Rainbow can pierce the toughest hide and the strongest armor with ease. The Bone Thing is alive, however, and frequently clashes with Rainbow over the best course of action, which it believes to be to murder the strongest creature nearby.

Fluttershy - bearer of the Element of Kindness. Fluttershy was a recluse from a young age, often mocked in Cloudsdale for her poor flying skills and even poorer communication skills. Her one solace was that she found a friend in Rainbow Dash, who was becoming something of an outcast herself. When Rainbow dropped out of Cloudsdale Flight Academy and fled to Ponyville, Fluttershy followed suit, realising that there was little left for her in Cloudsdale. It was in Ponyville where she discovered her affinity for animals. She made her living through a variety of small jobs; grooming pets, taking care of them in an owner’s absence, and general troubleshooting when small animals and pests are involved. Later on, though the excitement and risk frightened her at first, Fluttershy participated in various adventures with newfound friends, surprisingly becoming a part of a group despite her shyness.

Banishment flung Fluttershy and the rest of her friends to a frigid, violent, and uncaring corner of Equestria, far away from the animals she had devoted her time to and the home she managed to build in Ponyville. Even so, she found the will go on, bolstered by her concern towards her friends. She took on the role of a medic, managing to translate her skill in helping injured animals to tending to the wounded with the help of Redbrand. Though she was of little use in the fighting, she still managed to find an important purpose in the Northern Barrier Land.

After the fight with Nightmare Moon and Reunification, Fluttershy was forced to confront her inability to lend her friends help in difficult fights. The situation was exacerbated when Rainbow Dash was kidnapped by ophidites. Desperate for an answer, she accepted the aid of Blue Moon, and learned more of her supernatural ability known as the Stare. This culminated in unlocking the Stare’s potential with the aid of Regia Carnifex. This unlocking, however, also released an aspect of her once most dormant; the fragments of the being called Lok’horus, one of the “windigos” that nearly destroyed ponykind in the past. With its self-containment broken, Lok’horus merged with the rest of Fluttershy. With Lok’horus’s aid, Fluttershy proved crucial in defeating Ridentem Malleorum, at the cost of her eye. Later on, she would prove effective against the ghosts of the Old Kingdom.

After the battle of the abyss, Fluttershy, accompanied by Starswirl and Blue Moon, makes her way to the Eastern Waters, where she hopes to find some means to improve Equestria’s chances against the forces of the abyss.

Though outwardly cowardly and perpetually unsure of herself, Fluttershy has learned to dig deep within to provide her friends effective though unnerving aid in battle.

Pervasive Empathy - as Element of Kindness, Fluttershy is able to speak with different animals despite not knowing their languages or having a rational understanding of their body languages. She can even bridge the gap between herself and supernatural entities, which was what allowed her to communicate and merge with Lok’horus, a feat no other host of the enforcer was able to do.

Lok’horus - merged into Fluttershy’s persona is the weakened essence of the former captain of Oceanus’s enforcers, having transferred from one pony descendant of Pansy’s experiments to another only to find a home in an unlikely host. When faced with danger, Lok’horus aids Fluttershy’s mental state with a boost of both courage and ferocity. Lok’horus was also an aspect of Oceanus and retains some of his memories, which provides helpful clues in fighting the abyss.

In battle, Lok’horus powers the Eye of Fear, which Fluttershy once knew as the Stare; a powerful gaze attack that freezes an enemy in place. With Lok’horus now completely free, the stare actually causes the fear it induces to materialise as damaging frost. Since Lok’horus was an aspect of Oceanus, Fluttershy has access to a minuscule fragment of Oceanus’s power of water, albeit one that is still tainted by the abyss. This power allows her to use various abilities, including saving her from certain death. Passively, Lok’horus grants Fluttershy the ability to withstand the oppressive presence of the abyss better than any other pony and communicate with enforcers without damaging her psyche.

Scarlet Rabbit - a member of the Northern Equestrian Legion’s Special Operations Third Squad. Scarlet was born in Nazcatania, capital city of Ophidus, as the best product of a long breeding program for pegasus racers. He served under Hasyth, winning many races to stay alive in the ruthless gambling circles Hasyth took part in. Over the years, Scarlet developed a seething hatred for Hasyth due to his treatment. When a Legion raid in a temporary stable Scarlet was housed in granted him freedom, Scarlet fled to Equestria and signed up for the Legion. He later met Vanguard Clash, who was on a mission to the south at that time, and decided to transfer to the north after he was convinced that Hasyth was killed in another Legion raid.

In the North and under Flight Dreadwing, Scarlet established himself as the fastest flier in the Legion, an excellent shot with a crossbow, and a strong melee fighter as well. He became well known for his desire to be beaten in a race, which no pony was able to do. He later moved on to be part of Special Operations Third Squad under Vanguard Clash, whom he had befriended at that point. When Third Squad encountered Twilight Sparkle, and then her friends shortly after, Scarlet befriended Rainbow Dash, and considered it his role to help her acclimate to the rough life of a legionnaire, much to the dismay of her friends and his. After Reunification, he went on to challenge Rainbow to a race after seeing her Sonic Rainboom, convinced that she had what it took to defeat his ophidite training. The resulting race nearly got them taken to Ophidus, and convinced him that Hasyth was still alive.

After the battle of Sky Mirror Lake, Scarlet accompanied Rainbow to the West to finally kill Hasyth. He succeeded, but died of his injuries in the process.

Longstride/Twenty Six - a member of the Thorns, once known as “the arrow from nowhere” by the ophidites during his time. Longstride is a highly-skilled sniper armed with a powerful magical bow that allows him to shoot at any target his magically enhanced eyes can see.

Born an unwanted fourth foal to poor parents, the pony who would be Longstride was given over to the Longstride Project for a paltry sum. He was named Longstride Candidate Number Twenty Six, or Twenty Six for short, becoming the last addition to the final batch of candidates the project was going to have. Twenty Six considered himself the worst of the three candidates; physically inferior to Twenty Four, and mentally inferior to Twenty Five. He was content with being cast aside and living the rest of his life as an archer in the Legion when the death of Twenty Four and the injury of Twenty Five made him the sole candidate for the name of Longstride. He would later find out that Twenty Five sacrificed her life to craft his magical bow.

Having taken on the name of Longstride, he joined the Thorns and served under Black Rose as part of her specialist squad. Later on, he would agree to have his soul placed in stasis to aid her future endeavors. After Reunification, he was assigned to test Rainbow Dash, which he did by making her the target of a coatl. Rainbow eventually earned his respect after escaping the ophidites and proving herself in battle on multiple occasions.

After the battle of the abyss, Longstride accompanied Rainbow on a mission to finally kill Hasyth. There, he encountered the animated remains of Twenty Four, whom he defeated. They succeeded in their mission, but at the cost of his wing. After settling his business with the project that created him, Longstride continues to accompany Rainbow in the West.

Sablesteel - a member of Black Rose’s Thorns and inheritor of the skills of the Blackmoon Blades. A notorious killer who brought down the enemies of Black Rose with well-places strikes of envenomed blades or terrible clouds of noxious gas.

Born Sable Brush in the a small village to the West called Grain Basket, Sable spent her foalhood dragging around sacks of rice in her parents’ storehouse. She would later meet her grandfather, Ice Carver, who lived in the outskirts of Grain Basket. When her family mysteriously disappeared, Sable was taken in by Ice Carver, given the name Sablesteel, and taught the techniques of the Blackmoon Blades. When her grandfather died, Sablesteel signed up for the Legion. She kept her unique skills a secret for fear of persecution, venting only on secret missions. Later on, she would join the Thorns along with her friend, Rhapsody.

After Reunification, Black Rose assigned Sablesteel to strengthen Pinkie Pie. Though she initially believed that Pinkie Pie was too soft, weak, and whimsical to serve as a strong Element of Joy, Sablesteel eventually learned to trust Pinkie after seeing Pinkie’s efforts in the abyss.

After the battle in the abyss, Sablesteel agreed to serve under Princess Luna as the founding member of a new Blackmoon Blades. She has been tasked with escorting Pinkie to the Great Delve.

Tailwind - Captain of Flight Dreadwing and mother to Vanguard Clash. Though harsh and violent on the outside, she reveals a more tender side to her husband, Sharpfangs, and her son...occasionally. She recruited Rainbow Dash into her flight after seeing the race between Rainbow and Scarlet. She was later tasked with bringing down the brachyurus leading the wolven by the southern gates of Bastion City. After Reunification, her flight was among to help with integrating Heartland pegasi to Barrier Lands conditions. It was there that her flight was called in for the battle at Sky Mirror Lake.

Fogbound - a legionnaire under the Northern Legion’s Special Operations Fourth Squad. He was part of the expedition to Clover the Clever’s secret hideout and was killed by Foxfire.

Updraft - a legionnaire stationed in Fangbreaker Fortress and member of Flight Storm Dawn. He was shot in the flank during the fall of Fangbreaker Fortress.

Razor Beard - Captain of Flight Shatterspine. When news of an ursan attack on the remote village of South Wind arrived, he and a portion of his flight rushed off to help. He would later meet up with Rainbow Dash’s group and work with them in killing Hasyth, and bringing down the ursan threat.

Yargh - former captain of Flight Gore Howl. He found the Bone Thing during one of his travels. With it, he rose to fame as one of the Legion’s mightiest lancers. Already known for his temper and his lust for battle, he was eventually driven insane by the Bone Thing’s influence, charging an envy dragon by himself in a crazed attempt to kill it. He mortally wounded the dragon, but was overwhelmed by her venom.

Bright Shield - Captain of the Pegasus division of the Heartland’s Royal Guard. A good friend of Shining Armor and a loyal servant of Princess Celestia despite the revelation of the division’s nature.

Hurricane - one of the Six Companions and leader of the pegasus nation during the time of the Old Kingdom. Though the pegasi at the time were already known for their violence and raiding, Hurricane sought to forge them into a fearsome warrior nation. He won his leadership by slaying the previous pegasus leader in single combat. Arrogant in his physical prowess and constantly thirsty for violent confrontation, Hurricane shaped the pegasi into a brutal, highly militaristic race. He believed that pegasi were natural predators, with more in common with birds of prey than ponies. He picked the most vicious among them and created the Graywing Elite, a warrior group that subscribed to his ideal. With the help of Pansy’s enhancements, they dined mostly on meat and preyed upon earth pony farms as they saw fit.

At the height of the Everlasting Kingdom’s power, Hurricane led the nation’s military endeavors, launching raids even into Wolven, Ursan, and Ophidite territory for slaves, sacrifices, and food. Earth pony clans not protected by Smart Cookie and Puddinghead were also fair game for his hunters, killers, and slavers. Obsessed with the idea of dominance, he insisted that the Graywing Elite’s members be at a fixed number so that the only way to join was to kill an existing member. He also endorsed duels to the death for any slights between ponies wether real or imagined. He demanded that universities in the Old Kingdom sacrifice to Oceanus the bottom ten percent of every class taking their final exams.

When Lexarius’s forces eventually forced its way to the heart of the Everlasting Kingdom, Hurricane and his Graywing Elite flew forth eagerly. Though they were indeed highly skilled and extremely vicious, they were surrounded by Cross Guard’s troops and slain nearly to the last pony. Hurricane himself, badly wounded and the sole survivor, dragged himself back to the capital just in time to be sacrificed for the final ritual that would call forth the flood to end the Old Kingdom. Later on, his broken ghost would be defeated by Rainbow Dash.

Pansy - one of the Six Companions. Notoriously reclusive and extremely shy, Pansy was happy to pose as Hurricane’s subordinate during their takeover of the pegasus nation. She preferred to work in the background, researching different ways to ensure his victory. Though outwardly loyal, she saw him more as a prized pet accomplishing her tasks without having to dirty her hooves. Indeed, Pansy was extremely fond of pets and maintained a great zoo of various animals which she experimented on often. It was her research that transformed the Graywing Elite into a deadly, monstrous force.

At the height of the Everlasting Kingdom’s power, Pansy secluded herself in her laboratory, making use of a steady stream of pony “volunteers” and other test subjects to try even more hideous experiments. She hated public gatherings and allowed Hurricane to take care of all of them, even if it meant that he would take all the glory. Her chimera project attempted to create flying unicorns, she fused the nebulous essences of the defeated windigos onto ponies, often destroying their psyches in the process. She also concocted various toxins to envenom the weapons of her troops as well as drugs to improve their performance.

When Lexarius’s forces destroyed all her creations, Pansy agreed to perform the final ritual that would drown her and all of the Everlasting Kingdom, pleased that no pony would ever benefit from her hard work. Her hideous, malformed ghost would later be defeated by Fluttershy.

Moon Sail - one of the last remaining Blackmoon Blades. After the destruction of most of the Blades, Moon Sail escaped by pretending to join the Moonlight Rondo. Resentful that a group of drunks and drug users would survive, she plotted to destroy the Rondo from within. She was killed by the Legion during the Moaning Top Incident, but not before implicating the Rondo for hiding a tikhana and a Blade of Nightmare.

Twenty Four - known fully as Longstride Candidate Number Twenty Four. The illegitimate son of a Great Delve Noble and a prostitute, he was sold to the Longstride Project as a foal. Twenty Four was extremely gifted with physical ability; with excellent flying skills, good natural eyesight, and powerful legs. His constitution allowed him to take on four arcane grafts, more so than any other Longstride Candidate. Many in the institution saw him as the one to become Longstride. The praise and approval left Twenty Four restless and arrogant. He grew curious about his parentage after gleaning information about them on the Project’s records. Soon after, he escaped to the Great Delve. When he met his father, he was paid a great sum to simply disappear. Free for the first time and in possession of a great deal of money, Twenty Four cast aside his disappointment and indulged in the city’s pleasures before returning to the Project, hiding his stash beforehand. Though he was severely chastised, he knew that they would never punish or throw away their greatest asset. Having developed a taste for drinking and whoring, Twenty Four would later escape a few more times. In his last time, he was involved in a bar fight. Though his superior skills allowed him to defeat many foes, many more ganged up on him in the cramped room. An errant knife cut him deeply before he escaped. He did so only to bleed to death in a nearby alley.

Twenty Four’s remains would later be animated by the coatl known as Hasyth, who had taken over the Longstride Project’s manor. Twenty Four’s spirit had not passed on, resentful that he was so easily tossed aside and replaced by Twenty Six, whom he considered the “runt of the litter”. He was able to merge with his undead body to do battle with Longstride. He was defeated and slain through Longstride and Rainbow Dash’s efforts.

Twenty Five/Camellia - the orphaned foal of legionnaires, Longstride Candidate Number Twenty Five did not expect a strange and extremely stringent lifestyle when she was taken from her orphanage by members of the Longstride Project. As a candidate she was the frailest of the three, unable to take more than a single arcane graft. Her lack of physicality also meant that she was forced to use a bow with a weaker pull strength. Even with these limitations, she strove hard to gain strength. She also made up for it with mental acuity, proving herself the most observant of the three candidates; not only noticing the most minute details with her enhanced vision, but also correctly piecing together the information from these details very quickly. She learned and retained information swiftly and was the most well-read of the three. Still, Twenty Five understood that knowing was not enough to be Longstride. She practiced long and hard, pushing her body until she suffered a severe back injury during one training session. The injury could not be healed with the limited healing spells of the Barrier Lands and regular medicine, so she was forced to drop out of the project as a candidate.

Bereft of a purpose, Camellia, as the newly-named Longstride chose to name her since she was no longer a candidate, ultimately volunteered to be the sacrifice for the creation of Longstride’s bow as the one originally meant to be sacrificed suddenly died of lung failure.

Ash Frost - known as the First among the Legion’s Heroes along with many nicknames she coined herself, Ash Frost was a highly skilled and extremely arrogant ranger during her time. Armed with the magical bow, True Frost Shot, not only was she able to track and ambush her foes with ease, but also outright attacked even heavily defended camps with sheer impunity thanks to her incredible prowess with the bow and her flying skills. In battle, Ash Frost terrorized Ophidus’s forces so much that a great bounty was placed upon her head, resulting only in even more bodies piling up when ophidites tried to claim it. At home, she was a notorious braggart with a sharp tongue, participating in as many archery contests as possible to prove her skills.

She eventually married and started a family, if only to prove she was the best at picking a husband and producing children too. When her rash boast that her son would become even a better archer than her reached Ophidus, ophidite agents managed to kidnap the colt and kill him. After this incident, a distraught Ash Frost assaulted Nazcatania by herself and was killed.

Longstride - the son of Ash Frost. He was proving to be a promising archer when he was kidnapped by ophidite agents. When the ophidites realized that they could not leave Equestria alive, they killed him to ensure that he would not grow up to be the terror his mother predicted he would be.

Scootaloo - the pegasus member of the Cutie Mark Crusaders, a trio of fillies striving to “earn” their cutie marks. She was heartbroken when she learned that Rainbow Dash was banished from the Heartland. When Rainbow Dash returned as a legionnaire, however, Scootaloo was overjoyed and showed great interest in the Legion.

Night Breeze - second in command of Flight Dreadwing. He often accompanies Tailwind during assassination missions as backup.

Spring Rain - a veteran member of Flight Dreadwing. She also accompanies Tailwind during difficult sorties.

Bad Arc - Captain of the Northern Legion’s Special Operations First Squad. He and his squad took part in the rescue of Rainbow Dash and the location of the Crystal Grave. Known for his abrasive nature and distrust of hunches.

Overcast - a former member of Flight Dreadwing. He prided himself for his speed and challenged Scarlet Rabbit to a race. When he lost, Scarlet beat him half to death. He was transferred shortly after to the Western Legion, where he was killed after an encounter with a wrath dragon.

Alpine Air - the niece of Crow Quill and his last remaining relative. She is a western legionnaire and member of Flight Razor Thrash. During a fight against some ursans, she was killed in action.

Crow Flight - a good friend of Apple Slice. They met when he saved her from an ophidite slaving party. Since then, she had been indebted to him and accompanied him in all his missions. When his forces were surrounded in Greenfang Fortress, he bade her to escape and bring his broken chain to a member of the Apple Family not matter what it took.

Steel Point - the squire of Ash Frost. Originally named Wood Grain, Ash Frost forced him to change his name because she felt that it was not grandiose enough to be the name of her apprentice. He was tasked with providing her extra arrows and recording her words.

Cloud Nest - the outpost commander of Venomwatch during Ash Frost’s stay there. He made a bet with Ash Frost in lieu of her salary, which allowed her to earn a great deal of bits thanks to her killing spree. When the Legion found out, they were both whipped, and he was stripped of his position.

Cloud Breeze - a member of the Moonlight Rondo and marefriend of Cinder Spark. She harboured an intense hatred of the Legion. She would later attempt to kill an Inquisitor, only to accidentally kill Coal Grey. She was killed by Inquisitor Chill Gaze shortly afterward.

Cloudsteel - a member of Captain Bark Hide’s patrol. When the patrol went deeper into Legion’s Rest, the claustrophobic conditions proved too much for Cloudsteel. He panicked and ran off, only to be killed by the hideous creature that had been summoned in the tomb complex.

Sky Pike - a member of Captain Bark Hide’s patrol. When the stresses of dealing with the strangeness of Legion’s Rest proved too much, he lost all hope and curled up waiting to die. The patrol abandoned him and he was later found dead.

Star Gleam - a member of Red Stone’s archeological expedition and an expert on the language of the Old Kingdom. She was killed by the Reverbwraith.

Wind Glance - a former apprentice of Pansy. She joined the Graywing Elite to serve as a liaison for Pansy. An expert in close quarters fighting and the use of envenomed weapons, Wind Glance also served as Pansy and Hurricane’s troubleshooter, silently eliminating those they considered enemies in precision strikes. When the burden of her tasks proved too much, she joined the pegasus rebellion against the Everlasting Kingdom, allying with Cross Guard and Guard Break. Hurricane ruined her wings before she could escape, however. She would later meet Rock Maven and developed a close relationship with him, helping cement the cooperation between the rebel pegasi and the United Earth Pony Clans.

After the destruction of the Old Kingdom, Wind Glance stayed by Rock Maven’s side, acting as an advisor for pegasus-related matters among other things. She apparently killed Rock Maven during a vulnerable moment, but was killed by Magma Dart shortly after. She would later be known as “Wind Glance the Assassin” among the true earth ponies; a symbol of how untrustworthy pegasi are.

Cross Guard - former second in command of Hurricane and the leader of the pegasi rebels against the Everlasting Kingdom. He would later go on and found Highstable as the replacement elder city for the pegasi.

Guard Break - Cross Guard’s squire and second in command of the pegasi rebels against the Everlasting Kingdom. After the rebellion, he attempted to investigate the death of Wind Glance and was killed by Magma Dart.

Flame Flash - a defector from the Everlasting Kingdom. Though she and her family departed the Everlasting Kingdom with the rest of the pegasi rebels, they separated from the rebels shortly after as they did not want to fight, only to live outside of the Everlasting Kingdom. It was her and her family who discovered the arrival of Lexarius.

Low Boom - Captain of Flight Razor Thrash. He and his flight were assigned to the Heartland to find suitable lancers. While camping near Cloudsdale, several of his troops developed Cutie Pox, prompting him to request aid from nearby medics and Zecora.

High Grass - a ranger from the Southern Legion, he and several other rangers were sent to the Heartland to scout the land our independent of chosen guides. He discovered the presence of Zecora, who helped him procure a cure for the Cutie Pox afflicting several legionnaires.

High Trade - a quartermaster from the Western Legion, in charge of supplies for the legionnaires stationed in Cloudsdale. He allowed a shipment of “Luna’s Piss” into the Heartland as it was a Western Legion favorite. He was later forced to recall the shipment out of fear of Princess Luna’s disapproval.

Cloudslide - Captain of Flight Stone Fang. He was also sent to look for suitable lancers in the Heartland. He discovered the shipment of “Luna’s Piss” and contacted High Trade about it.

Ride Tall - a royal guard assigned to guard Hashimyssa. He made a bet with High Seat that the vipren was actually asleep despite her eyes being open. When he ventured to touch her, he was bitten.

High Seat - a royal guard assigned to guard Hashimyssa. When Ride Tall was bitten by Hashimyssa, he rushed in to help, but was also bitten. The two were severely reprimanded after being cured.

Cold Snap - the co-proprietor of a well-known restaurant in Canterlot and the younger brother of Heat Wave.

Heat Wave - the co-proprietor of a well-known restaurant in Canterlot and the older brother of Cold Snap. He was on duty when Rarity and Lion Court had a duel in their restaurant.

Quick Tail - a courier working in the Western Barrier Land. He was tasked with delivering a message to Alpine Air, only to discover that she had been dead for a few years.

Whirlwind - Captain of Flight Frost Shear. He was tasked by Dreadstep with getting rid of tourists visiting Fangbreaker Fortress after Reunification.

Sky Piercer - a member of the Royal Guard’s Pegasus Division. She is an old friend of Bright Shield, though rumors abound that she is actually his fiancée.

Cadance- one of the royal nieces. “Princess” Cadance acts as a troubleshooter for the Heartland, serving as an observer, negotiator, and other roles necessary for the tasks given to her by Princess Celestia. She was born a pegasus, but mysteriously gained a horn one day, allowing her to cast a variety of spells, typically from the Enchantment school. She is married to Shining Armor.

Wine Press - a member of the Moonlight Rondo during the Moaning Top Incident. He had proposed to Berry Slice and planned to get married during the festival. He hurled a rock at Chill Gaze and was killed when the same rock struck his head.

Fork Tongue - a third generation slave under Nefszen during the Moaning Top Incident. The success of the hunt for Safaszan would have secured his citizenship. He was later killed when Nefszen’s group was discovered.

Snow Feather - a resident of Southwind who plans to join a lancer flight in the future. He told Rainbow Dash of the story of Yargh the lancer.

After Reunification, he went on to challenge Rainbow to a race after seeing her Sonic Rainboom, convinced that she has what it took to defeat his ophidite training

Aaaah, that phrasing finally explains why he was obsessed with being beaten, rather than just finding the fastest ponies to beat, as you might expect of someone who was the best. He's insecure about being a product of ophidites, and doesn't feel like his speed "counts" if he's better than everypony else, because then he's not really a pony is he? Only when he's beaten by a pony will he feel like he belongs among his kind.

Also he probably wanted it just to spite Hasyth, even if he thought the coatl was dead. After all Hasyth’s hard work and boasting about Scarlet, the idea that another pegasi without all that beating him probably filled Scarlet with glee that Hasyth’s work had been proven false.

Jesus, Hurricane seems like he was like Gravitas at his absolute worse with like zero of Gravitas’ at least somewhat redeeming qualities, and Gravitas was also at least doing what he did out of paranoia and a flawed idea of duty, where as Hurricane seemed to do what he did out of speak desire to purge himself and his race of any rational ability.

And Pansy seems like Fluttershy if her ideals and philosophies were flipped over, and if she saw beautiful in the worst aspects of nature and not the most harmonious ones.
