The Price of Freedom is getting rewritten to accomodate Dusk Shine as part of the MLP Season Redux · 4:36am Oct 27th, 2019
SO i'm sticking to my old plan.
Since it's still fresh, and new, i'm going to switch out Twilight sparkle -
Princess Twilight Sparkle - Smile
with her male counterpart, Dusk Shine -
Guylight
NOW do you understand? I'm basically doing what was done in that fanfiction story "Dusk Shine in pursuit of Happiness", where the only change made to Twilight was her gender.

I don't know why all of you are making such a big deal out of this, but I don't care. I made it perfectly clear that I wanted to use Dusk Shine when I first began thinking up the MLP Season 9 Redux series, but I fucked up by trying to keep it as show centric as possible. Here's the thing, though, that noone is able to understand.
I DON'T WANT THIS TO BE AN EXACT COPY OF THE SHOW!
I want this to be something different, and intriguing. An improved version of the show the way I want to write it. I'm not even making any serious changes. I'm just putting in male twilight like I ALWAYS intended. And if there are any assholes out there who think i'm doing this because i'm a sexist faggot, then go to hell. If you folks truly are my friends, you'll do what's right and support my decision instead of condemn me for it. This is happening, no matter what's said. And it shouldn't be that big a deal.
Also, you know damn well i'd support any decisions you guys make, as I always have: so you owe me for that by giving me the same courtesy, understand.

And I also apologize for coming off as hostile. I'm just angry at how many people are opposed to my idea. You who did so act as if i'm doing something horrible when i'm not. That is beyond disrespectful, and it hurts me to know this. I just wanted to clear the air on a few things, and hope I can get you all back on my side on this idea.
I promise the old version of the stories will stick around, and remain unchanged. I just intend to make a second version of "The price of Freedom" the way I REALLY want to have it made, and then slightly edit the REDUX chapters i've made so far. Nothing major, and not that big a deal. So please stop making this a big deal, and forcing ME to make a big deal out of it, and at least TRY and be supportive.

I don't understand why you can't create the best of both worlds. You publish the same story on FIMFiction and DeviantArt, right? But keep Twilight on FIMFiction's version of the story and star Dusk on DeviantArt's version. Then again, my idea may be tedious and pointless. Either way, the decision's yours and I'll still read the story. I don't see a problem between Twilight and Dusk, they're still the same character, just gender swapped.

Alright! Finally, someone who gets it! The main reason is because I actually like Dusk Shine. I've seen him here, and there, in written or visual format. And even thought Twilight's cool, for some reason Dusk appeals to me alot more. Plus, there's also the fact I can actually be more creative with him than with Twilight, and thus be more invested in writing the story. Think you can understand what I mean, bud?:?

Of course! This story is a redux so there are going to be a lot of changes. In a way, it's kind of like an alternate universe of some sorts.

That's EXACTLY the idea i'm going for. And trust me when i say i'm going for the extremes with what I can do with this. Basically, everything past School Raze will basically be like Y7 or slightly higher. I think you can generalize what I mean by that.:D
Even though I like what you did with the Canon version of the redux; I completely support your decision and understand. I will not lie that will miss the Canon redux but I understand why you're now going with your new version of the Redux. Don't let those negative comments get to you.

I promise not to.:) Besides: i'm not getting rid of the old "Price of Freedom" story. Fans of that version can read it as much as they want. I'm simply making a second version that's canon to the series i'm making. That way, maybe everyone can be happy.:)
