Honesty is more than telling truths. Laughter, more than sound. Kindness, more than being comforting. Loyalty, more than devotion. Generosity, more than giving gifts. Magic, more than mysticism.

So, I went a long time without posting a chapter. I started college and it was more of a time sink (and source of stress) than I expected by quite a margin. So Longshot's story was put to the side for a time.

But then the show ended and, to be honest, I was a bit depressed about it for awhile. But the Star Trek fandom lasted two decades without new official content. They kept it alive entirely on their own. That was a comforting thought, especially since we do have more official content already lined up. But what if that content wasn't good? Or at the very least, there was a good chunk of us who don't like it? I don't know anything you don't, but with an entirely new team behind it that hasn't earned my trust over years of content, and the same people holding the purse strings who forced Rainbow Power and Twilight's crystal castle into the show, I have some concerns.

Trekkies didn't keep their fandom alive just by loving what existed though. They created content of their own. Bronies haven't had any problem with that, but thinking about all this brought Neighagra Falls' back to the forefront of my mind. I not only have a story I want to tell, but now I want to contribute to keeping something I love alive.

So for those of you who have been waiting patiently for almost a year; thank you. This is going to be more of a priority for me going forward. Class still takes precident, but less Overwatch and Stellaris is in order so I can work on something important to me. The other thing is, updates won't be as rapid as they were at first. I was making short chapters because I wanted to get out the words in my head as quickly as possible, but I think that was a bit of a silly decision, so I'm going to be writing longer chapters going forward. So while I'm back, don't expect as quick updates. But you will get more meat on them as well.

See you in the wastelands.
