Beleaguered Princess: So About Those Results... · 8:12pm Nov 29th, 2019
Hey all. As you may have noticed, the unofficial expected date for announcing Imposing Sovereigns II results has come and gone. Rest assured, we're working on getting everything read and ranked. Between the holiday and my asking everyone to read everything, it's taking a bit longer than I originally estimated. We hope to get the announcement ready before Christmas. Thank you for your patience.
While I was hopeful, when you announced results by Thanksgiving I knew that wasn't happening. Don't stress FoME!
No worries.
That's okay, I've only read one story so far. :B
Don't worry about it—it's a lot of freakin' words and people have busy lives. Such delays are to be expected.
No worries! I know it's a Lot to read! Thanks for keeping us updated!
No worries.

lol I'm genuinely honoured and bewildered by that

...Wait, was that story from this contest? c.c Oops, make that two stories...

I have no idea how you came across it otherwise. I'm but a humble speedwriter.
On the bright side, you've now doubled your IS2 completed reading without doing a thing.

I know, right? XD Gettin' a head start!
I'd also like to apologize to the contestants. I am still plugging along through the stories; I vastly underestimated how much effort reading seven-and-a-half novels worth of writing was going to be.
For what it's worth, I am taking notes on each of each of them (as if I were editing), and so I hope to give more detailed feedback to each of the participants when the contest is over. I'm not sure if I'm going to feature everyone in my critique series, but it is something I was hoping to try.
Of course, this more thorough approach is also what's taking so long.

FoME: “It looks like there were 30+ uploads on November 9 and 10. Pfft. Thirty Stories. That’s like three days worth of reading at ten stories each. Rookie numbers. You all can do it in 18 days, right.”
Judges: “What about time for sleeping or eating with our family?”
FoME: “Just read in your sleep. And if you print out fic pages they make good plates for you to read while you eat. It’s what I do.”
Judges: Uhhhhh…

I can neither confirm nor deny that this conversation took place.

I mean, the general idea of 5162149 forgetting that not everybody reads at a million words per minute is a valid explanation.
I confess I was wondering, but it’s no big—thanks for doing the thing!
It's impressive to me that you guys read fast enough to get it done this year, frankly.
Very grateful regardless of when you're finished ! : )
It's a formidable amount of work and everyone's a volunteer. We get it. Thanks for keeping us in the loop. :)
Seeing as its December, figured I'd ask how progress is going on your guys' end?
Edit: posted to the wrong blog because I mixed up the tabs somehow.
woo go me
