    1950s Sci-Fi Review Bundle (Part 2/?)

So, uh, been a hot minute since I followed up on that little 50's movie review thread I started a while back, huh? Guess my narrative writing isn't the only thing that suffers from sloth. Or rather, I've been sluggish and getting around to posting my mini-reviews here, really, I've already had them written

But I like the DCEU...............

The Winnie the Bear format:

My Little Pony
Pony show with friendship
A show with ponies who go on adventures with each other, learning friendship
A show with colorful four-legged creatures that save the world multiple times, and gems keep them together, while they learn about the magic of meeting new friends

No, it just means that I already did something along those lines.

#14.
Perfection.
Absolute perfection.
:rainbowlaugh:

Oh, that last format is wonderful. You have so much material for making memes there! I applaud you for your creativity, my young apprentice.

5198613
Oh, nice. Wait, you make these memes!?

What particular references would the memes with Michael Vogel and Nicole Dubuc, and Superman and Batman, be made towards?

5198621
Why thank you, my fellow meme creator.

5198627
Yup. I make 'em all myself.

Vogel and Dubuc both wrote "The Ending of the End", and we all know how that went down with the fandom. The Batman and Superman meme is supposed to represent the relatively light-hearted MCU compared to the darker and grittier DCEU.

Umm, I liked the season finale. :applejackunsure:

I did too. I was just making a general joke regarding how it split the fandom.

:pinkiegasp:I just now couldn’t help but remember a question I had!

Whenever I look at your memes, a lot of times I can’t help but notice that you two seem to be using the same pictures over and over again, only with different words.

Why is that so, exactly?

5198850
Those are called formats. They're easy ways to organize ideas depending on what you want to say in the meme.

The one with Jupiter protecting an oblivious Earth was hilarious XD

Brady's right. For instance, the dual picture of the rapper is used to compare something the OP dislikes (in this case, Henry Cavill's Superman from Man of Steel), to something that they like (Brandon Routh's Superman from CW's Crisis on Infinite Earths, which by extension is the same character from the 70s-80s Superman movies and Superman Returns).

The one with Cavill and Routh made me smile.

Though the "Is this logic?" one pissed me off. Fuck the Rise of Skywalker hatedom.

Look, I don't hate "The Rise of Skywalker". I just disliked it. In fact, it's the first movie I can recall where I came out of the theater with a distinct sense of distaste. Even "The Last Jedi" didn't get that reaction from me as quickly. But there are very few things in this world that I truly hate.

I'm just pointing out what I think is a flaw in the story-telling, seeing how the Death Star II was pretty much atomized at the end of "Return of the Jedi", to say nothing with how that dagger somehow lines up exactly with the contours of the wreck or whatever.

5200817
I didn't think that you hated it, but Jesus H. Christ I'm just sick of the bitching over it. :facehoof: It's a fuckin' Star Wars movie, shut the fuck up and just watch it!

Now you know how I felt about Rogue One.
