Help wanted; Versus Jet · 11:49am Feb 10th, 2020

Hello folks. It's me. Again.

I'm currently writing two stories for two separate contests, one of which is due at the end of this month; Versus Jet is the current working (likely final) title of a story being written for the current AppleDash contest (Go Big or Go Home). Predictably, it's approaching 30K words, and I fully expect it to exceed that amount as I continue to work on the story.

Everything is currently very much a work in progress, but I have reached the point where I am satisfied that it will remain stable enough to allow people to help me by providing feedback, initial impressions, and so on. If anyone happens to be interested, I would be very happy to send them a link to the GDoc.

Due to me being busy with both IRL work in the lab as well as gearing up to continue writing (and hopefully finishing a first draft of) a contest entry for the Season 10 Writing Bingo, I may struggle to return the favour, but since I am by nature very mercenary, I would be willing in exchange to provide pre-reading services for someone else's story if they wanted.

What I am mostly interested in is feedback regarding the ideas and concepts; there are quite a few conflicting themes, involving Rainbow Dash's reliance on others, technology versus magic, and what happens to the main cast after Twilight returned to Canterlot in order to rule Equestria. It's quite ambitious, I think, and I would be upset if all those ideas and themes ended up a big confusing mess.

I've attached a small description of the story (as it will likely appear in the description of the story) below. Do let me know if anyone is interested!

It's a tough time to be a Wonderbolt, Rainbow Dash especially.

After Twilight left to rule Equestria, her friends have left Ponyville to pursue their own personal ambitions and interests, and now she's lonely and tired. Only Applejack, still based in Ponyville, remains, but how much emotional support can one pony give?

Worse, stormclouds gather on the horizon. A new machine, made of steel and more powerful than anything that has come before it, piloted by a pony desperate to win, threatens to undo the Wonderbolts themselves...

That does sound interesting! I'll take that link.

Awesome, I'll send you a linky-do along with some other details and stuff. Cheers!
