    300 views in three days!

I’m no longer very active on social media, so it’s been a while since I felt the giddy rush of affirmation! :rainbowkiss: But since I posted my most recent story it has gotten over three hundred reads in under three days and a whole lot of comments. So color me dopamine and serotonin flush!

Another year, another story (part deux)

I’m finally finding some more time to write. I was inspired to finish writing this story by Bicyclette’s Sci-fi Contest III, but missed the deadline by 40 minutes (as they say, read the fine print!)

By the way, I began writing this story almost a year ago based on some real life events that many of us share ever since COVID changed how the world meets. I hope you enjoy it!

    Another year, another story

It’s probably not the best thing that I need the motivation of a group activity (Jinglemass) and a multiple-day-off holiday to get me writing again. But this is where I am, and that’s how it is. I Hope you’ve all had a great holiday season so far, and best wishes for a safe, healthy, happy and prosperous New Year!

I've entered another contest, and so published another story · 5:25pm Feb 27th, 2020

Hi!

The Unintended Psychological Consequences of Inter-dimensional Travel

It took yet another contest (with a deadline) to get me to write another story. This time I've submitted an entry in the Season 10 Bingo Writing Contest. The prompt cards I was assigned: Daybreaker, Nurse Redheart, Smolder, Trottingham, Court of Law.

I this story I get to explore some of the consequences inherent in a "many-worlds" universe, where there could exist an infinite variety of versions of anyone or anypony. Case in point: Daybreaker, the supposedly evil version of Celestia, who in the IDW comic series MLP:Nightmare Knights is shown to be more than YA one-dimensional tyrant. Full disclosure: I had not read this comic until I was assigned the prompts and did some research on Daybreaker. I thought the plot of the comic was very interesting and provided great scope for a follow-up story. SO here it is. I hope you enjoy it, and I would be much obliged to those who would take the time to give me feedback either way.

And BTW: don't forget to wash your hands with soap and hot water once per hour - it's the one thing each and every one of us can do to limit the spread of the Coronavirus.

Stay safe,

Daf
