Good Morning,
I wanted to take a minute and reflect. It was four years ago today that I joined FIMFiction. Four years. I’d like to thank you for being here through it all. Through my comedies and dramas. Mysteries and romances. Serious works and the WTF stories I don’t know where I got the idea from. Through one-shots and longer stories. From complete to my stories I still have yet to finish.
But more than that, I’d like to thank you for being here for me. From the long, often frustrating, days at work. The grueling deployment to the Middle East. The TDYs and moves. The highest of highs to the lowest of lows. Thank you for your support through the good times and bad.
I know my rambling may sound like I am about to make some major announcement, perhaps like I’m leaving this site. Well, maybe someday. But not anytime soon. I’ve met so many people on this site that I don’t want to lose contact with. I’ve had such a good time editing and publishing. And truth be told, I’ve got way too many stories bouncing around in my head.
As I’ve noted before, I’ve got some new material in the works. One story is complete. However, I don’t plan on publishing it until I have its sequel ready to go, and I don’t know how long that will take. I’ve also got several unpublished stories partially written, that I don’t want to leave alone. And then I have several published stories that are incomplete. I really want to find some time to give them proper endings.
So, I guess what I’m trying to say is that this is not the end, but merely the beginning. I can’t predict how things will go (otherwise I’d have won the lottery several times over), but if you stick around, we’ll find out together.
Keep Writing,
Dreadnought
