The Story of me: · 8:06pm Nov 18th, 2012
For those of you who don't know already, I've got talents pouring out of my ass, and I really really really don't like people knowing that, because it's prone to leading me to failure rather than success. People tend to say that I brag about them, though i only told them that I can do a lot of things to help them with something. Just a few of the talents that are most pronounced are:
*Music
*Mathematics and Physics
*Drawing
*Acting
*Psychology and Therapy
*Writing (less so than most, but still a talent in the way that I write.)
*Creativity, (I.e. I can come up with brilliant story ideas, but I just can't express them perfectly)
As you can see — there are so many career paths that just keep popping up in front of me, and I can't choose. The term for this is Jack of all Trades, and I hate it so much.
Let me give you an example of music, and writing.
Music- Ever since I was very very very young, I've been able to pick up a musical instrument, and five minutes later be playing as if I'd had months of experience. It was just part of my life. Then, when I turned 11, and went into the sixth grade, it got much more serious. My teacher, the brilliant Ms. Omara, persuaded me to play the viola, rather than the cello. However screechy the sound may have been, it still filled the room beautifully compared to everyone else. My posture was very good, and at least I learned that very year to not play with the "pirate arm."
The next year, I moved schools. I went to Shahala, a much better environment than covington, by a long shot. In shahala, I was no longer the top of my class, that would be Rachel; she had been playing easily since she was four years old, giving her about 3 times the experience as me. But, in that year, I went from having that screechy tone, to having the beautiful resonant tone that I have now, three years later. I'm still not the top of my class, both Rachel and Andy have more experience in years, which months cannot make up, but I have six years of experience, from four years of playing; I started taking lessons privately in the eighth grade. And that leads me to now... 2nd chair viola, in one of the top 50 school orchestras in the country.
Writing- Every time I read a book, or a short story, or a playscript, I get jealous. That led me last year, to start writing fanfiction, though my first attempt like most was not exactly my best work. The second story was very well received and to this day has not been disliked, even though I can't find the time to write it any more. I write from improv, and figure out detailed story as I go, and I love it.
So help me out bronydom, what should I do with my life?
Unfortunately, that's for you to figure out. I can't tell you what to do -- nobody can. You have to fine out for yourself what you want to do.
hmm... difficult. I would say pursue both but more with music. Neither choice really pays much but hey, you never know.
Sorry...that wasn't really helpful was it?
